Bowie Golf Club

fairways not wide enough

cart path was horrible-needs to be resurfaced

This course was in good condition. Some courses we play, the lie needs to be adjusted because the condition of the course isn't that great. So to make the golf experience fun and enjoyable because we aren't pro, it just makes it more fun. No handicap is involved when this happens. We did not have to adjust any lie, we played the ball down. That sums up the condition for a public course, you will have fun. Bring water because there is any on the course.

They have leagues so front 9 was not available and we had to play back 9 twice. Back 9 is not the better part of the course.

The club allowed a group to have premium times ahead of members who support the course all year long while this group comes once or twice. Ther group asking for placement should be started at 12:00 noon after members have received their normal starting times.

We had severe thunderstorms the night before, the drainage system on the course could be updated, but other than that, the course played well. Pace was a little slower than usual and the carts really need updating as well. However, for the price, I will definitely play again!

I played Bowie yesterday for the first time in several years. It was understandably wet from a big storm the day before and the greens were very slow. The greens also suffer from lots of slob players that are too lazy to fix their ball marks. Otherwise, I was pleasantly surprised with the overall condition of the course. It was also the first time that I played from the senior tees and their placement seems to be a little too generous (same as red markers) on several holes. There should be a white/gold combo added to offer something around 5500 yards.
