Great course, moderately priced. Better food and beverage selection would be nice. :)

Course is in Great shape for this early in the season. The greens are much faster than in the past. A lot of good work going on cutting down trees.

I had sent a review in to this site I think on 27 April but may have done something wrong whereby it didn't go through. Yes...I played "Bowie" golf course on 25 April 2023 and teed off @ 0748 hrs., the weather was cool by every nice and clear. I thought the course was in very good shape and the my "sign-in" guys was very nice and helpful. I had no issues with the staff or with the course itself but with some individuals on the course -> some by-the-way stated that they were employees of Bowie. I was sent a review request directly from Bowie on my experience to which I responded the following, I have never heard anything back. So... please find below what I sent, am I upset...no at all just disappointed. Would I ever play at Bowie again -> Maybe.

Good morning,

I thought I’d drop you a quick note…First of all, I thought the course was very nice and well maintained. However, as me and the other 3 persons in my foursome were playing around the 3rd or 4th hole, a set of individuals sped up to us and yelled to and at us concerning the cart path rules -> fair enough and we apologized and stated this was out 1st time playing at Bowie, then a statement was made to us -> “look this is not an all-day event, speed up, I can assure you that we were in no way delaying play. We are also told by these two individuals that they were employees and had every right to tell us what they wanted-> they may have been, but they were playing a round. Later, we had a cart of folks tell us we were cutting in front of them, again in an argumentative way and stating that they were members of the course, I can fully assure you that we completely followed hole for hole and in order. Lastly, at hole 10 and 13 where they are close in tee off areas -> yet another group of players came speeding up stating we were breaking up their team game. One of the individuals was aggressive enough that we thought there may be a hands-on situation. Eventually I think some of the other players figured out their error. Mistakes happen and we understood that, but I must tell you the treatment we received was totally unbelievable. I’ve played golf for over 30 years and on many courses and I’ve never ever seen such treatment. I invited the 3 police officers that were in my foursome, and I was embarrassed and disappointed. In closing, pointing a finger at anyone does nothing, I simply wanted you to know what our feelings were and the experience we had.

I must say the course was fine and, in my opinion, well maintained and the staff member that checked me in was awesome and had no issues here, but issues came out on the course itself. Staff is top notch, always pleasant and personable.

Course Improving Greatly, more care is given too all areas of the course.

New Irrigation should improve course conditions in good time.

Great value compared to other area courses.

you can't be $35 for 18 holes with a cart. The course was bone dry and super hard ground. To get the ball close on a 200 yd par 3 you must hit a 6-iron 170 and account for 30 yards roll. The cart paths have crumbled to deep potholes. They have carved dirt paths that throw up dust into the face of the car behind you. The cart had containers but no divot mix in them.

The fairways were firm and fast so you get crazy roll out of drives... no problem if you account for that where there is a dog leg. The greens and ground as stated are firm but they roll pretty well (where there aren't trees with fuzz depositing debris on the green)

Is it watered and maintained? No. Is it playable and enjoyable for a reasonable/low afternoon (3pm tee time), Yes.

Course was ok. Fairly open fairways and greens in mostly decent shape though a few with lots of tree debris that should be blown off daily during pollen season. Decent price so the value is about what you'd expect. I'd probably prefer to pay a little more for aa better experience.

The boxes are so hard we had problems getting are tee's

in the ground. course was very dry!!

The upgrades on the course are moving quickly and going to be great when done. The carts, however were filthy. Several had dirty seats and most had filthy dashboards covered with what look like sticky spilled drinks.

There have been a number of improvements made to the course. Great job by TJ and his team making improvements. The cart paths are probably in the most need of repair. The driving range needs new balls and mats as well. But the course was in really good shape for April; it played firm and fast yesterday, and it really is a fun course to play.

The course conditions are improving. They are building it up with a great foundation. Installing irrigation, cutting down dead trees and improving the tee boxes. Previously they redid the greens.
