Course was under repair, many holes with construction equipment and one of them closed, nothing was mention on their website
No food
No food after 5 and nothing stating that’s what time they close.course was in decent shape but no food after or beer or water after 5 , what about the guys getting off work to play
Getting better
Greens in good shape. Need to get fallen trees up from last year's storm. Seems like it would have been a good off season project. Looking forward to more improvements this year.

Under new management. However they still have not made even tepmerary repairs to the cart paths. Also storm debris has bee laying between several fairways for over a year and a half.
Thanks for your feedback. Cart path repairs are coming in the near future we are finishing up our irrigation project which needed to be done before the paths. Also the crews are working to clean up the trees from the storm this past July. Look forward to seeing you back at the course soon.
Golf paths are terrible a lot of dead trees on ground from 2021 storm
Course is "getting there"
Bowie is playing like a typical winter course. Fairways are somewhat barren, greens are playing slow, etc. But there are bright spots on the horizon as they are integrating an entire new irrigation system, taking down trees that caused too much shade and actually changing two holes. Given a good spring for growth, this course could be very much improved come summer time.

Bowie appears to be doing a lot of work to improve the course with irrigation and drainage projects, cutting down trees, selectively modifying sand traps etc.....this course could be a real nice little municipal course next year...
Great layout and pace of play
Great layout fairways bunkers and green were well kept, need some work on cart path but overall it’s a course i’d play over and over

Fair
Bowie Golf Course has been declining. On February 15, the weather was great, it was easy to schedule a tee time online. But the course is in rough shape, there was construction being done in the middle of holes 1 and 2, with bulldozers and other construction vehicles on the course. At some point hole 1 was closed then hole 2 was closed, so that caused some delays.You would think that a discount would be offered when you cant play holes due to closure or obstacles on the course. Course never quite drains water well, so several puddles of water and muddy even on a dry day. But on a Thursday, pace of play was good and still a fun course to play.
