It’s only April!
First round of the year in Massachusetts….visiting family. Course relatively close to them so we booked. Staff very friendly. Course needs to be cleaned up, taken care of but it is “early”. Cart paths horrible….staff very friendly. Driving range is hitting off mats…staff very friendly!
Course and amenities
Course is great for the price. Very player friendly with not many penalty areas to be concerned with Could use a restaurant that is open. Has been closed for 6 months and has no drinks available on course.
Very good condition , considering the weather we have been having
I played with the Bowie seniors before the ownership changed for 15 years. I enjoyed being back. Sorry Bowie was unable to find a way for the seniors to continue the league..
Needs lots of little things
Around some of the tee boxes the weeds and shrubbery was overgrown and intruding into the walkway and tee box.
No divot repair shakers for the carts
Ball washers didn’t have water or soap
Cart paths when/where available are in desperate need for repair/overhaul
Cut down trees are left for nature to deal with instead of being hauled away
Great for getting the rust off
I hadn't played a full round of golf in years, so I was looking for a course that wouldn't completely punish me as I got back into the swing of things. Bowie is an affordable round of golf without too many hazards (likely saving me a sleeve of balls at the very least). I'll be back again soon to keep making progress on my game.

Moderately priced, reasonable condition, challenging but not overly difficult for us hackers
Improvements on the way
First time playing since the changeover, and expectations were not high. The bunkers were raked and the greens were in good shape and faster than they have been. Looks like they are making efforts for sure. It would have been nice to have some form of food service, or at least notification that there would not be anything available. Understood that the clubhouse and facility needs the renovations that they are (I assume) doing. Communication of the downtime would have made up for it. I will definitely go back however.
