Great Value
Course is a great value when booked using Golf Now. Greens in excellent condition fairways in need of some attention. I went off alone to my pleasure and played 10 holes before I caught up with anyone in front of me. Played through a foursome and went home without delay. Great pace of play
An undiscovered jewel
First time using online to book a round of golf. Went with my 16 year old son who's learning the game. Beautiful day, no delays and the course played very nicely. The staff was very friendly. It was probably a combination of perfect weather and low density of players, meaning no pressure to keep pace, especially since we had to look for a couple balls in the rough. I'll definitely play there again!
They need to have a Marshall
Theb4 playing in front of us had no golf etiquette and they were just ridiculously slow
Home Course
Bowie is a great course with a few challenges! It's no PB Dye or Anything like that, but it's great for the money. The people are nice and the course is really coming together. They've brought in new carts and the fairways are shaping up nicely.
Terrible Condition (overgrown tee boxes, bare fairways)
I played this course on a Sunday morning. The pace of play was good, but the course was in terrible condition. The tee boxes were so overgrown that it was impossible to hit driver. It was like teeing off from the rough. The fairways were completely bare and bumpy. The greens were in decent shape. They were very slow, but rolled true, despite a few patches of weeds here and there.
In summary, spend the extra $ or drive a little further to play any other course besides this one. Not worth paying any amount of $ to play.
I'm sorry for the bad conditions. If you came out today I think you'd see a marked improvement. Everything is now mowed but our BERMUDA fairways are still thin. A month from now they will be in and you'll notice a huge difference. We try and give the golfer an inexpensive golf experience. A place you can play several times a week. Thanks for your comments. We will try to make things better.
Good for the money
The front 9 seemed pretty easy to this not-so-good-golfer. The back 9 was more difficult, in my opinion.
Course needs work, but there is evidence that some work is being done. Lots of empty patches in fairways & tee markers where they are repairing the tee boxes. Most greens in reasonable shape and, without much rain lately, pretty fast. Clubhouse is obviously old, but serves the purpose. Check-in was easy and the woman running the snack bar was pleasant. They could use a few more markers to guide you to the tee areas on a few holes. We had to ask someone how to get to the forward tees on #10.
We had to wait on a few holes here & there, but not often or long.
I'd go back for $25. I don't think I'd pay more without some improvements.
Good Hot Deal course
I've played this course multiple times through Golf Now. Course has good drainage, so weather usually isn't a factor. Greens are good, and there are some well layed out holes.
Bowie Golf Club
Good course for the money. Playable in all conditions. Would definitely play again.
It is what it is with Bowe Golf Club
Played during the fall season so you can expect leaves and leave it what you get! I've posted in the past that this course is getting better and still stand by that, fairways & tee boxes still need work as well as the greens but all in all their in OK shape for the end of the year? Weather was low 50's and windy so it as difficult finding your ball if you miss-hit due the leaves but I had a enjoyable round especially for $13.00 total which included a cart.
Great value
Had an enjoyable round, course is in good shape. Greens were very nice and roll true. The cart paths are rough but the course layout is good, offering a wide range of different hole designs. Pace was good until we ran into a group of 5.
Nice for the price
Course was in good shape. Green nice. Only complaint would be lots of leaves. Definitely a play it again course.
Worth the money
For $25.00 including a cart, it was well worth the money. Course was in good shape and greens were good. Beer is reasonably priced, too!
Fun
I had a very enjoyable round of golf at Bowie. I was paired up with a threesome and they were all very nice. They played the course on a regular basis and were nice enough to let me know the best placement for the ball and what to avoid.
Good time
The course was in good shape and the pace of play was great! One of the best deals in the area!
golf course review
I think for the price to play 18 holes with cart included around 2pm on a Friday is excellent when compared to the other 6 courses around me where I live. However, some improvements such as the golf path and signage needs to be improved. Most golf courses I have played have good signage especially, the map layout of the hole with distances. I think for this course, I only remember seeing about 3-4 layouts. For the price I would play it again, but would like to see the improvements.
Great for the price
The course looked great, greens a little slow, but pace of play was crazy. Met some good folks that I allowed me to play with them.
Enjoyable
It had rained the night before and all the sand traps were still full of water and it appeared that there was little sand left in the traps. The greens are not in great shape. Grass seemed thin....but playable.
Rainy day
Two of us played golf at about 3:30 PM. The gentleman at the front desk was extremely pleasant. The pace of play was fast. The course was in good condition. Even when we sliced the balls into the trees, it was easy to find the ball! After nine holes, the clouds rolled in and a lightning storm developed. So, we went into the back of the golf club and had a drink. The lady behind the bar had worked there for 26 years and was very pleasant. Before leaving, we were given a rain check. Great value for the money. Friendly staff.

Thanks for the nice review. The fairways are Bermuda grass and will fill in as the heat comes and will be very nice throughout the summer. Hope to see you again
