Eastmoreland Golf Course

About
Eastmoreland Golf Course was laid out in 1917 by National Amateur Champion, H. Chandlar Egan. Today, Eastmoreland is ranked by Golf Digest among the top public courses in the country. Eastmoreland is as beautiful as it is challenging, bordered in part by Portland’s Rhododendron Gardens and Crystal Springs Lake. The environment provides a home for thousands of birds including great blue herons, mallards, wood ducks and more. The tree-lined fairways are beautiful year round and the natural hazards such as ravines, streams and lakes require the best from any golfer.

East Moreland
Classic old course - good pace of play for Sunday afternoon, if you can look past the goose poop, you will have a good time.
Enough challenge
Enjoy playing this city course. It's in pretty good condition and has some challenge with trees if you don't stay on the fairway. Not many sand traps or water.
Niice course
Played many many times, always good, wish they didnt move the whites so forward . Also a lot of goose poop on the course. Hope no one gets the bird flu
Summer golf is here.
Great course to play on a beautiful day. Greens were fantastic, fast and true only the occasional forgotten ball mark to repair. The fairways are firmer than ever this year and allow for roll out. A guy we played with hit a 290 drive with roll out, he’s 65! We had a great time, go early.
Improving my gave
Eastmoreland golf course tests a golfers judgement on club selection. Very good test of skill. Narrow fairways, lots of tree trouble and sand in traps ha generally been excellent, the few times I’m in there (:-)
Love this course
Enjoyed our round
Our group couldn't find the cup but the fairways snd greens were in great shape, pace was comfortable and staff friendly.
Great shape!
Got out early and played solo, no issues with pace of play. Excellent conditions considering the rain. Go play and enjoy!
Ready for summer
After the amount of rain in Portland this spring, the course was in great shape from tee to green on every hole. The only issue was pace of play… at 5:10 from a morning tee time there was too much waiting in the tee box and fairways. I’ll be back, just not on the weekend.
It's ok
The front & back nine are like two different courses, the back being much more challenging. The location means the course is almost always packed so rounds tend to be very slow, lots of goose poop everywhere on the back nine typically. It's an overall average course, fine if you live in the area but nothing to go out your way to play.
The course was very soggy. I know it’s been wet recently, but other courses I’ve played on seemed to do a better job of mitigating the problem.
To no fault of the course because of all the rain prior to our Tee time. The coarse was drenched but I don’t think ya’ll could’ve done much about that
