Acushnet River Valley Golf Course

What a great day of golf. I Purchased a hot deal for a 10 o'clock tee time I don't know if other golfers were concerned about the weather but that was my win.I had heard horror story reviews that the course was recently aerated and was expecting the greens to be bumpy and slow .They were not .The course was in great shape from start to finish.played 18 in 3 and half hours

This course is fun to play. It is in perfect shape.

Now unfortunately it is not a good experience. I do love the layout of this course and don’t mind the one hour drive but my last two experiences here, ESPECIALLY THIS PAST WEEKEND, were dreadful. Had a 1:20 tee time which should be plenty of time to get 18 in. Well we didn’t tee off until almost 2 because the starter told us the pro shop was “jamming people in” in between peoples tee times. We got in 15 holes in 4 and 1/2 hours. Waited on EVERY SINGLE SHOT!!! Greens were aerated which is understandable at this time of year but didn’t find out until the first green because we weren’t informed beforehand...not cool. No twilight rate even though we teed off at 2:00. Did I mention we had a 1:20 tee time?

Not sure if the course is under new management or if they are just trying to make as much money as possible by jamming tee times but sadly it will be a while before I go back to play here.

I would have given one star but enjoyed playing with the people they paired us up with.

Unfortunatley, that time of year for it but coursed was in good condition

We got paired up last minute and were waiting on every hole. We played in late September and had a 2:54 tee time for 18 holes. We were told that they "lock the gate at 6:30", and were barely able to finish 9 by 6:00.. Not an enjoyable round of golf.

Supposed to tee off at 1133 didn’t get out until 12 be cause it is so backed up. Slowest round of my life.

Aeration was underway throughout the courses and could be acceptable.

However, huge aeration vehicles were all over the courses for the entire play and there had been 3 vehicles at the fairway for one of the holes while we’re playing.

A ball even got caught by vehicles. They were not hesitating and surely didn’t care for golfers at all.

Very rude and unpleasant!!

Staff unfriendly and unhelpful. Double booked my tee time. Had to wait additional 10 minutes to play. Pace of play was terribly slow and was unnecessary. Barely got round in before dark. Moreover, the course closes the access gates at 7:00 pm even if people were on the course.

Not a good start. We were disappointed that we had to pay extra to have separate carts. Also, we only got about 15 range balls for $5. However, the course was in very good shape and pretty challenging from the blue tees.

Was looking forward to a relaxing early morning round. The starter was rude to me (as he always is) on the first tee. The grounds crew must have gotten a late start, because they were on every hole on the back 9. Spent 2 hours listening to leaf blowers, and waiting for them to get out of the way. They didn’t seem to care that there were golfers out there. The greens were awful and inconsistent, some were soaking wet, some had been mowed, and some had been aerated. The inconsistent greens made it really hard to gauge the speed. This course seems to be going downhill, unfortunately.

One of my favorite courses in the area. Great holes, well conditioned. Challenging. But the pace of play was beyond horrible. Took three hours to play the front nine, gave up and fortunately was able to play the front nine again to get in 18, but can't recommend on a weekend that's for sure.

I love acushnet. I play there about 5x a season. There is nothing bad I can say about the course itself. It’s always in excellent shape. Greens are great. Fairways great. Challenging yet fun and not discouraging. Grill outside is awesome. Best hot dogs around lol. All I can say negative is the pace is slow many times and tee times are behind. I didn’t see a single ranger on the course most times I’ve played. And the starter guy is not too friendly some days..
