Golfer Reviews
Course in great shape
It’s a different layout but the course is in great shape. Greens are excellent but tough. All in all a really nice place. They need drinking water or a beverage cart on the course.
Good Condition - no water on course, no cart girl and restaurant closed.
Brookside is an average course in good condition with a few really good holes and a few really wonky holes if you ask me. We went to the day when it wasn’t busy and there was no water on the course, no cart girl, 9th hole food truck not open and no restaurant open at the end of round. Needs some TLC with that too end of things for $90.
Course has great layout
Played it for the first time last Friday and loved it so much that we are coming back to play it again this Friday at 8;54 am. Course presents a nice challenge to all golfers and the greens have great contour to them. Only downside I could slightly gripe about is the 1st and 18th fairways with driving range balls making their way on to the fairways, a net would probably solve the problem. Other than that it is a lovely course and the Bog Restaurant is very good.
Target has new meaning
Great course, greens in excellent shape. Coming in cold is tough, a lot of blind shots, undulating greens and fairways, miss a green and u are off In the scrub . Leave ur driver in the bag. Once you have played a few times and know where the danger is …much more fun, but first time…prepare to get beat up a little unless u have a local with Your group. But would play again…absolutely
One of the Best on the Cape
Played on a weekday, late morning. Course was in excellent condition! Pace of play was normal.
Love the layout - elevation changes, every hole has a different flavor, and each is memorable in their own way which is the hallmark of good golf course design. I will say some holes are a little much....like the par 5 5th hole, with a fairway that slopes so severely that even balls hit to the highest point of the hill with no side spin still collect in the rough in the valley below at best,...and a couple quirky very short doglegs on the back 9.
Added bonuses: Driving range, generous amount of balls. Great natural grass chipping area that allows you to practice those 50-60 yard tweeners. Beautiful club house. Private club vibe.
This is one of the best courses on the Cape, period. Probably gets overlooked, but for 75$ on a weekday, you can't beat the value for an amazing well-rounded course.
