The Brookside Club

Great course, especially for the price. Beautiful scenery. Could only get in nine holes but it was worth it. Didn't check out the restaurant or pro shop. Will be coming back in the summer.

I appreciate that they are working on the course,

but it was ridiculous to spend $70 to play a round in March with sandy greens and several temporary tees. One of the par 3s was literally 35-40 yards tops. This tee time should have been half price considering the conditions of the course. I really enjoy the course and will play again, but today was very disappointing.

All par threes had temporary tees from uneven roughs which was a disappointment. But I’m sure the new tees will make a wonderful addition. Did not know that all 4 par three tees were being repaired.

Would have liked to know that all the par 3 tee boxes where being restored. Also no ranger and pace of play was horrendous

This was my first time playing the course. Great , interesting layout. Nice folks. Wish they had a course map and/or yardage book. This is more important for this course due to the number of blind shots and the close proximity of homes to some of the greens.

Greens reflected the time of year (winter).

With the conditions being subpar, due to it being January, you would think that they would give your wallet a break. $70 for a round of golf, south of the bridge, in January? Clearly they are not interested in having many people play there during the off-season.

The course was great to play. Fun and challenging. However, the greens conditions were garbage, but I gotta let that slide due to the date played. Other than that, it was a very nice and fun course to play. I recommend you check it out.

This is a nice course that is really well maintained and is a really fun course to play. It is a very quirky course however, as there are a lot of holes that require you to shape the ball in a specific direction or have knowledge about where the hole goes. For a second round, it would be much easier to approach these holes, knowing that it is going to turn a certain way. Definitely not a driver course (only hit driver twice, which might not be a bad thing) but it was a lot of fun. Would go back and play again 100%

They were aerating the greens while we were playing and where an absolute mess. They should have listed that they would be aerating the greens on their website before we went and paid full price to play. We would have saved our money. Besides that the course is in pretty good shape and is fun and challenging. The staff in the pro shop could have been more friendly, but hey what are you going to do. Everyone has a bad day

What a golf course ! Very well maintained, everything was great, beautiful fairways and greens, This is a must play course, quite an experience. Recommend using a cart if over 40 !

Always liked the course

Was a bit backed up when we played and greens had been aerated. Only thing I didnt like is if you only play 9 you are stuck out in the middle of nowhere and have to find your way back.

8 of us played. Super track. Some interesting rolling and sloped fairways.

Pluses:

Nice clubhouse

Friendly staff

Superb views of the water from the deck

Lots of green grass

Problems:

The course layout was jammed in between new housing; too much housing, not enough course.

Golf shots were too frequently running through the fairways into unplayable waste areas.

The greens were fast but too fast for the slope of the greens. Too frequently shots /putts above the hole accelerated off the green and the apron back into the fairway.

With shots running off the fairways and rolling off the greens, it was not a fun day!
