Hidden gem, worth the ride down to upper Cape
Played this course on a beautiful sunny Monday late afternoon in April, and surprisingly had the course to ourselves. From the first tee box we knew this was a quality track. I am an 8 handicap & my friend is a 2. so we played the tips as is our norm. You need to use every club in the bag, & have a good short game, or else . This is a hidden gem, the 15th hole from the tips tee box makes you think of how the pros have to tee, to an elevated green above a water hazard! We look forward to playing in the summer when it is 100% groomed.
Mid season conditions
Great condition for 4-22. Great deal for a fun course/lay out
this is a public course with a private club feel
we enjoyed our day at the course from check in till check out
the golf staff is very professional and very welcoming
even thought the weather has not warmed up yet the course was in great shape for this time of year
Really like this course. All around fun.
Great track, not too difficult, but you need to play all the shots. Some nice elevation changes. Course staff and restaurant/bar staff were all super. Food is very good. In pretty good shape for having just opened. Will be back more than once this year.
Scenic round on quality course
A must play. Great views of Buzzards Bay. Course in great shape given three nor’easters in March. Several blind shots but pays to drive up to see best landing area. Staff awesome
Early Season Good Conditions
Early AM (7:30) Tee time. I was single playing with a friendly group of 3. Temp was a cool 47 deg F, but very sunny. Temps climbed throughout morning.
Course was in decent condition, but greens were full of pine needles, twigs, and small leaves. Wish they could have been swept at least some of them. However, the course may have been open only for a few days. On some greens, roll was bumpy.
Most of fairways were reasonably dry, but soft. Divots were larger than normal. Overall course looked and played well for early season.
Only downside, was clubhouse restaurant was closed, so lunch or breakfast sandwich was unavailable. However, course was just opened, so I expect by next week, this will not be a issue.
Good condition. Blind shots
The course is well maintained and a good value for the money. Overall it’s not long and the greens are in good shape. There are a lot of blind shots, hilly lies, and the pace of play is very slow and not policed.
Golf now vs Brookside
I booked on G/N but soon learned that the rate was less
At the course. Lesson learned that when playing off season it is best to call course first to get latest offering.
As for the course they had punched and sanded the greens
But it helped slow the quick greens down. Greens run most of the time at a 10.
I played as a single and was done in 1 hour 30 minutes
Which was great. This course can be a little tight because
Of condos but nothing rediculus. So " Go Play".enjoy.
Fantastic day at BROOKSIDE GOLF course
The middle of the week in October… The course could not be in better shape. The greens were perfect. I didn’t see anyone else for two or three holes at a time. If I could play under these conditions always, I would be out there every day.
Always worth the day trip
I enjoy playing the Brookside as one of my favorite.
Fun course
Challenging but fun course with great deals on GolfNow!!
brookside
course was in great shape. tee areas were just punched but still good. greens were fast and consistent. interesting layout with lots of side hill lies. Had to climb up hills to reach a lot of the greens and it was tough on my old back. Overall great experience.
Best condition in last 6 years!
Excellent value for a well conditioned course! Friendly staff and fellow golfers
A SCENIC CHALLENGE
excellent condition tee to green; blind shots on most holes and rarely a level lie. thankfully, the greens had been recently aerated or they would have been impossible for a first timer, as the severe undulations cannot be seen from the approach shot (two shots landing near the hole on crests rolled 40-50 feet to either side, one off the green); greens must normally run 11-12. you must be on your game (II wasn't), lucky or a regular to score well here. there were at least three foursomes immediately in front causing waits on nearly every hole--perhaps not the norm.
Great course for the price
I had two foursomes with family members arriving from Toronto Canada. Service was great course was great the whole experience was great they were very pleased with The whole experience
