Course is in Great Shape
Beautiful course and great amenities. Course was in tip-top shape.
Worthington Manor Worthy
Course is in great condition and beautiful views with the leaves changing colors. Pace of play is as expected on a weekend and foursomes allowing twosomes to play thru.
Fantastic Golf Course
This is an amazing golf course. The whole course is in great shape, and the greens are hard and fast! It is a very challenging golf course from Tee to green. I would recommend you play 1 up from where you normally play due to forced carryover and raised greens. I played the blue and it was hard. Back nine seems 2 or 3 stokes easier. Well worth the money!
Difficult course, below average facilities
Worthington Manor is a very challenging course for first time players; big elevation changes, extremely fast greens, thick unforgiving rough and lots of blind shots. It charges premium greens fees, which must go into course maintenance because the off-course facilities aren't in keeping with a premium experience. The golf carts are old, dusty and should be replaced or refurbished. The range is cramped; you have to step forward from the mats to be able to sink a tee into the ground to hit driver, which just feels dangerous. The range should probably be renovated, perhaps with low nets to keep balls from rolling into the first hole, or moved to another part of the property if there's space. The cart paths have lots of potholes. So I like the course and want to play it again now that I have some local knowledge, but considering the $110 greens fees, the overall experience feel a bit muni-like.
First time
Had a group of 6 in front of us. No marshals to take care of it ended up slowing up the pace of play for everyone. Also had a solo walker who they blamed their pace of play on but that guy was hauling and watched him finish and entire hole before they even got off the tee box. Guy I was playing with was heated about it. At one point the group of 6 was threatening to fight the guy I was with when he bombed one off of the tee box where they couldn’t be seen because they moved their cart at the top of the hill. Overall pace of play and staff not being sufficient to take care of pace of play problems like this. Took probably about 5.5 hrs to get done it was dark when complete.
Great course
First time I played there but will be back asap! Course was in very good shape except one tee box on a par 3 was rounded up. Greens are unforgiving. Putt & chip right or it’s coming back to sender. I played with a member who was able to give me tips on the course, he was a great help & an even better golfer. I didn’t play exceptionally well but had a great time. Then had a burger at the grill which was 10/10. I’m looking to get back out there this week. If you appreciate a great course, play it, don’t hesitate.
Nice Place
Played here a couple times. Green keeping is really good. Mowing is consistent throughout the course. No mowers on the course during my rounds.
Reasonable twilight rate.
Nice driving range. Balls are out, no machine. Good putting area that matches the course greens pretty well.
Slightly less difficult than other courses in the area but still a challenge.
Will be playing more rounds here.
Love Worthington
Great and challenging course with tough undulating greens. It's always in really good shape.
Tough Test
I can see why Worthington Manor continues to be a US Open qualifying course. It takes very little to make it a beast of a golf course. The opening 3 holes are some of the most difficult opening holes in the area, with the 3rd hole being a par 5 dressed as a par 4.
Definitely not a friendly course to your typical weekend duffer - but a fair and fun track if you want to test your mettle against a very open but rolling layout.
