About
Agawam Municipal Golf Course has been a favorite among local golfers since first opening in 1944. It has a traditional layout that offers a few challenges but it's still player friendly enough for golfers of any skill levels. The holes are fairly straightforward but the gently rolling hills provide some subtly tricky elevation changes. There isn't any water on the golf course but there are mature trees lining the fairways. While it may not be what you're looking for if you're an avid golfer who wants a truly formidable test, Agawam Municipal Golf Course is not to be under-estimated. The greens can be tricky to pitch to and accuracy will take you far. This municipal course is a great spot for a quick and casual round that's also affordable.

Great day on the course
My brothers came in to play from out of state and loved the course. Granted, we're not country club guys and didn't want to spend a lot of dough so Agawam fit the bill perfectly! The staff in both the pro shop and lounge were friendly and professional. We'll be back...eventually. Thanks for everything you guys!

first time played, a course you can score on, even tho it rained the front 9, the course played well. Fairways are open and the greens are honest, what you read is what you get, no surprises. Staff very friendly. Pace of play was good.

Over booked. Had to wait on every hole. People constantly hitting into our fairways

Course was in good shape, no waiting, great time except that mask wearing inside was not enforced making it an uncomfortable trip inside.

Great Value
First time we have experienced a Pace of play was poor due to a few people who shouldn’t be playing
Other than that it was a very enjoyable experience and fairways and greens in great shape even with drought conditions

Great for the price!
Got a hot deal to walk 18 for around $15 after fees! They offered me a free cart and it was a great beginners course to learn the game. As a 6 handicap it gave me validation that I’m okay at the game. Not going to speak negatively at all for the place. It was awesome to see so many junior golfers and golf camp kids learning the game there!

Basic up and back golf
Pretty basic layout. Nothing really exciting. So many par 3 holes.
Good if you just want to go and hit and run but nothing challenging or picturesque.

It is our anniversary today! My wife told me if I wanted to golf 18 holes today she would love to drive the cart at the course. I was thrilled, I told her I would love to have her with me.

Not bad for the money.
First time playing in a course and it was a decent experience. For the money you get a whole lot. I would play here again in the future for sure. A few things would make it better but can’t complain for what I paid.

Easy layout, challenging greens
The fairways here have always been a little bit of a dog track and there's some burnout spots on the greens. Overall, course is in decent shape and played pretty quickly. There's just much nicer places to play locally that are worth the extra $10-$20.

Good deal
Played at 7:15 on a Tuesday morning. 18 holes in just over three hours. Course is quite manageable. Greens needed to be cut but two days of rain made it impossible. Enjoyable and worth 15$.

Busy
The course is in great shape, and it is a fun course to play.
However, they schedule groups too close together, every 8 minutes. The cost for the course is very affordable. This leads to a lot of people playing the course that aren't very skilled, and thus play very slow due to poor shots.
As a result, there are major backups immediately. We teed off approximately 15 minutes later than our scheduled tee time. It took almost 5 hours to finish the 18 holes. The course was very busy and extremely slow.
If I was the course manager I'd spread the tee times to every 15 minutes. It'll be less people, but the pace would be better and it would be more enjoyable for those playing.
Adawam Muni Course
It was a very good first round of the year. I got paired with a couple of very nice young guys.
Be aware, though, that there is no water to drink on the course due to COVID restrictions (?) So bring a big bottle of drink with you.
