Agawam Municipal Golf Course has been a favorite among local golfers since first opening in 1944. It has a traditional layout that offers a few challenges but it's still player friendly enough for golfers of any skill levels. The holes are fairly straightforward but the gently rolling hills provide some subtly tricky elevation changes. There isn't any water on the golf course but there are mature trees lining the fairways. While it may not be what you're looking for if you're an avid golfer who wants a truly formidable test, Agawam Municipal Golf Course is not to be under-estimated. The greens can be tricky to pitch to and accuracy will take you far. This municipal course is a great spot for a quick and casual round that's also affordable.

First time played but the grass ground greens and fairways are tall, hard to find the ball.

I was not notified the course was recently aerated when I booked. Wet, wet, wet! With no recent rain fall, I’m not sure why this course is so wet. Sopping wet areas around greens and fairways. Drainage Needs attentions! Fairways are forgiving but back and forth hole play is not ideal. Very minimal putting area with no range. Hard pass for me.

Bang for your buck!!!
The layout of the course isn’t my favorite in the area. I do like the back a lot better than the front. But $40 with a cart for 18 holes on July 4th in the morning is a steal. Pace of play was okay. Started slow but got better after a few holes. Tom, the Pro, is one of the nicest people you’ll meet and the woman in the 19th hole was a sweetheart. I’ll play there again.

Course is in great shape!
Was really impressed with the conditions of the course. Has some of the tougher greens in western mass in my opinion. My only complaint would be the golf carts are extremely slow.
