About
Agawam Municipal Golf Course has been a favorite among local golfers since first opening in 1944. It has a traditional layout that offers a few challenges but it's still player friendly enough for golfers of any skill levels. The holes are fairly straightforward but the gently rolling hills provide some subtly tricky elevation changes. There isn't any water on the golf course but there are mature trees lining the fairways. While it may not be what you're looking for if you're an avid golfer who wants a truly formidable test, Agawam Municipal Golf Course is not to be under-estimated. The greens can be tricky to pitch to and accuracy will take you far. This municipal course is a great spot for a quick and casual round that's also affordable.

Overcharged my account
they charged way more than it was supposed to be, $72 for one person?
Very good experience
Just a few minor complaints.....1st, please spread out the groups by a few more minutes.....way too backed up.....2nd, please limit groups to foursomes and enforce no riders without clubs...we were stuck behind a group of 6, and 3 of the 6 did even have clubs

Overall good course to play with several challenging holes.
Several greens need repair of large brown spots and some need to be smoothed out.

A little dry
Heat came on suddenly this year and early for irrigation so the course was a little dry. Got a lot of extra roll on the fairways😉

Wet! Wet! Wet!
On this day we were allowed to take carts without restrictions? I am not sure what they were thinking as the course was soaked with standing water in fairways and cart paths. Normally this is a great track and layout. I almost got stuck twice in the middle of fairways. Most holes could be 90* but be careful.
The staff were amazing, always friendly and willing to get you out without a hassle. I live in CT. and don't mind driving here for a great day of golf!

Pretty fun course
Early spring wet conditions but we had a good time. Back 9 is definitely more challenging with the front 9 having a bit straiter fairways and playing like a links course with a few trees. Little disappointed the grill wasn’t going but had a turkey sandwich at the turn and enjoyed it. Although I have to say $9 is a bit much for a basic sandwich. I’d like to mention the staff was very friendly and would recommend for others to give this place a shot. A few water hazards could make this course a lot better. But for the price it’s not a bad little course.

Rained the day before, so some parts of the course was “soggy”. Besides that course was in good shape.

Course closed
When I arrived at the course, they didn’t open. They mentioned that was by the low temperature. It was reasonable, but not refunded the convenience fee. I believe that they or golfnow should have not opened the tee time if it was not reasonable time by the temperature.
Slow play
Slow play because guys who sucked thought they were PGA and took too much time on every Green

The pace of play is usually really good and like other courses can be a bit slow when everyone is out playing on what may be the last nice day to play. The staff were very busy and friendly as always.
