Nice course overall
This course is a great test given it’s length. A lot of doglegs to the right. Course is located in a nice peaceful area with a decent practice driving range. The only weaknesses of this course is the course may be too long for some golfers. Worth playing given it’s value
Westover
Course was in great shape for this time of year. Pro was very accommodating sending us of the back to get the round in before dark.
Fantastic Fall Golf
Greens were perfect. Some leaves but not too bad. Pace of play was good because of the weather; mid 40s. So not much play. Gas carts are adequate. Course conditions were good. Overall great value.
Enjoyable fall round
Westover is one of the great value courses in Western Mass., with better than average public course conditions and a challenging layout. At 5450 yards from the Front Tees, it presents a good challenge with enough doglegs, sand traps, and distance to challenge all levels of ability. The only negative is the leaf litter that often lines the sides of the fairways, making it difficult to find a stray drive. The greens keep and crew do a nice job of keeping the greens in nice shape, with average put speeds. The courses bar and restaurant do a nice job of supplying pub food and a good selection of draft beers. The gripe I have is the carts are getting old and could use a better cleaning, especially the windshields. Minor issues to be sure, so if you have never played Westover GC, try it before the snow flies. You WILL ENJOY THE COURSE!
AAAAAAA
Great course lots of leaves for your ball to hide
course length
Three members played the whites(6,700 but more like 6,850 today) which seemed to be back almost to the blues. The fourth member played the golds(5,450) . That 1,400 yard difference seems extreme. It seems that white tees might serve the average golfer by being closer to the golds.
Great Value
Greens were perfect. Overall the course is in very good condition. Pace was a bit slow. Carts are old. Good length with Blue tees at 7,000 and white tees playing 6700!
Great experience!
Our foursome had a great day. The course was in excellent shape and the greens were running fair and true.
You paid a bit of a price hitting from the rough but it kept you honest.
Great value for the great course conditions. The Pro, Bill, is very welcoming and helpful. Looking forward to getting over their again soon!
BEST DEAL IN TOWN !
We played westover this morning PERFECT form the tees to the greens the best i have seen in a while .i tip my hat to the superintendent and his crew.
The pro shop staff were very pleasent and the strater was very helpfull they make you feel welcome.
Great layout great conditions and the price point is perfect for the market
This is a must play if you were thinking about it.
comical putting show
This is usually a favorite deal. Unfortunately, Golf Now wasnt advised that all the greens were aerated. Puts bounced toward hole and would occaissionally come to rest in a hole just before the cup. The pro shop offered a free 9 hole round. I would play this course at least one of 4 times I get out.
Fun course
Long course but very fair. Have to hit all the clubs in your bag. Greens were slow. Nice 19th hole afterwards and very friendly staff
Poor Greens
For the first of many times I played Westover and the greens were in poor condition. The greens were uncut and recently aerated but the real issues were the many brown spots and evidence of fungus on some of the greens. The putts did not roll well and it was similar to playing very early in the year with the exception of the fungus.
Great value.
Nice layout, good conditions, good pace of play, excellent price.
Really nice course and a great bargain.
Very well maintained public course with several challenging holes. Beer cart girl was a major plus, very attractive and competent. We were paired up with two great guys that made the round a lot of fun.
Very worthwhile
Love the conditions. Good solid lay out. Not a lot of trouble. Greens were pure. Friendly pro shop, restaurant and cart girl staff. Pace of play was good. Overall very enjoyable
