The course was in great shape. A good value for the money.
We had a great day of golf on this course. It was very well maintained, the greens were in great shape, and the course was relatively empty for a Tuesday afternoon. I will play this course again before the season ends.
Decent Course; Unfriendly/Uninformed Starter/Marshal
Decent fall day - looking forward to a fun round with my wife, and our friends. My wife and I arrive early; check in for our 4-some; grab/load carts with our bags; hit some puts on practice green. During about a 20-30 minute stretch I notice no one had left the 1st tee box. Our friends arrive; we check in with the starter and tee off. We have no one in front or back of us. The 1st sign of anyone behind is when we are putting on #3, as I notice the group behind teeing off. We play #4 and exit that green as the group behind arrives at the tee. We play #5, and my friend and I had hit our tee shots on #6 before we saw this group again. They were driving around the 6 fairway looking for the tee ball from #5. Our wives hit; we finished #6 and arrived @ #7 tee box. This is when we saw the starter/marshal driving up #7 fairway toward us. We waited for him to arrive. He said nothing. My friend and I tee'd off, when he then said "you are about 2-3 holes behind the group ahead of you, and they are stacked up behind you. I need you to pick it up". I tried to explain we had never held up the group behind us. And that we had maintained our 1 hole distance from them. Furthermore, the reason why the group ahead of us was 2-3 holes ahead, was because they started 2-3 hole ahead of us. He would not listen, and was very rude. When we were on #9 tee I looked back to see where the group behind us was. I could not see them. They had not even completed #7 yet. We finished our round approximately 2 holes ahead of them. This angered me because the starter/marshal was so convinced it was us, he would not listen to reason and go back a group to see it was them. His presence ruined us for about 2 holes before we were able to let it go, and know he was wrong. Too bad he couldn't have found the fortitude to admit it, and apologize to us later. I am a seasoned golfer, and would never allow a group I was in to hold up others. I also know being a marshal is a thankless job. However, because this man was so rude to us, I will never return to this course again.
If you can aim (unlike me), you'll make a great score here.
Westover is a fun course. Plain and simple. Some holes you can find your balls, others you'll drill into the base (if you have a wicked slice at times like myself). But, they are plenty of fun with the turns and hole placements. Course was well maintained. Beer and food cart came around in a timely fashion and the locals that play regularly were friendly folks. Had a great time there and can't wait to go back before the golf season ends (if groupon does another).
Did I get the bang for my buck here? Absolutely.
Fairway could be better
Course is pretty open and less challenge. Fairway need some attentions.
A great course to walk
I love walking this course! The terrain is pretty flat, the airplanes flying overhead are fun to watch, the course is well-maintained, and it has some nice long fairways that help me to push the length of my strokes. It is one of my favorite courses in the area.
Great shape. Plays longer than the typical area course.
Westover is almost always in great shape. Played there several time this year and was never disappointed until this Sunday. Course was very crowded and 18 holes ran just over 5 hours. Starters did their best to match people up, but there were just too many players for the course to handle. Course seemed to move much better on the back 9 for some reason. I really love the course and will certainly go back, but no more Sunday play.
course in good shape.
The course was in very good shape other than a few greens not having ball marks fixed.
enjoyable course...
Enjoyable course alittle longer than usual. Fair course for all levels of play. Breath taking views of the Air Forces biggest planes taking off and landing. I'll play this course again real soon.
Great value
Late afternoon tee time. Played in less than 3.5 hours starting on the back nine. The course is well maintained and was a great value.
Great deal for the money.
This is an excellent course for the money. Be prepared for some long par 4s. You may need to hit lots of fairway woods!
Long and open, well maintained for a municipal course. Super deal (special) @$25 pp for 18 with cart.

Course closed
It would've been nice to know before I booked with Golfnow that the course was closed. I show up to play my round and no one is there.
Good Course and even better value
Next to Airforce base and seeing aircraft take off/land so close is awesome experience.
Driver is a must.
super drive is a must. very long cources. must hit well on drive and follow up.
Slicers Delight!!
Wow..never seen so many tee shots that favor a fade! The last two holes are dog legs right. The course gets a lot of play but was in really good shape, despite all the recent rain, and the price was exceptional.
This course is very well cared for...Loved it
Its not the hardest course but it has its challenges shot an 89 that day. 47 in the front 42 in the back.
Definetely will play this course several more times this year
Great municipal course
Westover has always been one of my favorite local courses. The combination of length, hole design and green slope all combine to make the course challenging. The course was in better shape than it has been the last few years, and despite heavy rain the week prior to playing, there was little standing water anywhere in play. Recommend checking this course out if you're in the area!
very slow play.
I know that it can happen anywhere, spending 5.5 hours to play 18 holes is just awful. The worst was that the course was 40 minutes late on tee times. Why are there tee times, if the course can't keep it moving. I like the course, usually plays in just over 4 hours, but I have never played a course that can't keep the tee times as scheduled without a legitimate reason, slow play is not legitimate....
