Waverly Woods Golf Course

Waverly is a decent course, but to echo other reviewers, it's definitely overpriced. It's a slightly above average course, but it's priced like it's some elite golf club. You'll typically have to pay over $100, but it's just not up to that caliber of golf course. If this was a $60-70 course, I'd give it 4 stars, but at the current price point it's 3 stars. Course conditions, layout, and the clubhouse are all solid. Nothing spectacular, but generally good.

Course is close to home, generally in very good shape, and the staff are nice! What’s not to like?

I use to play here 6 times a year until they increased the prices and made you pay for warmup balls. Drinks are way overpriced as well.

First off, considering how early it is in the season, this course was in excellent shape. Staff allowed me to catch up though traffic ran me late. Much appreciated!

Nice open course. A lot of opportunities for driver. Will definitely play again.

After getting a 5 minute speech from the starter about pace of play, we ended up getting stuck behing two groups that were painfully slow, which resulted in a 5 1/2 hour round. No rangers to be found to ask groups to speed up. Pin placement was also unreasonably difficult on several holes, with the pins literally on the peak of a steep slope. Several of my putts were nearly perfect, which under normal conditions would have gone only a few inches past the hole, but here they would roll 20-30 yards away. I always thought pins should be on a flat spot of at least a few feet. Between that and the pace of play, the round just wasn't fun.

Fairways and bunkers were in good condition though.

Booked on golfnow with no mention only back 9 was open. Had to play the back 9 twice. If we’d known that we wouldn’t have booked it. Beware when booking on golfnow as you won’t know details like that.

It is safe, beautifully shaped and has a perfect course.

One of my favorite courses. Great course, great staff, and I always enjoy being out at Waverly Woods.
