Waverly Woods Golf Course

I was really impressed with this golf course for several reasons:

1. The conditions and layout of the course were outstanding! The fairways were lush, greens were smooth and fast, the bunkers were well prepared, and the pace of play was really good. The staff were very courteous and professional.

2. By booking online with Golf Now, my foursome and I ware able to save $17 each for a rate of $67, which was one of the "hot deals". That's a great value for a course as nice as Waverly Woods.

3. The practice facilities are impeccable. They have a large driving range area where you are hitting from perfect fairway-like lies. The range could be longer because the bigger hitters can reach one of the holes on the back 9, but that's relatively minor. The putting green is very much representative of the greens on the course and is well-maintained. They also have a nice chipping green.

4. They give you a free small bucket of balls included in your tee time.

My only complaint would be that I would expect the clubhouse to be larger with a more expanded bar and food menu. The bar is relatively small and the food selection is pretty liimited.

But it's all about the golf, right? Don't miss this one if you want a challenging but rewarding round of golf.

Overall a nice course. Greens in decent shape but be prepared to repair more than your own pitch mark. Layout is interesting with some nice tricky holes in the mix. I’ve played it 3 times now. Shot 80, 75, and 91. Go figure.

Great layout, hilly and some blind shots. Fairways were in excellent condition, greens were a little less than stellar and worn out making every put pretty bumpy and all over the place.

Goof conditions with the weather we got very friendly staff

Many of the surrounding courses have taken a beating over the past several weeks with the intense heat, so I wasn't sure what to expect with Waverly Woods. I was pleasantly surprised at the course conditions. The fairways were in good condition with plenty of green grass (although, there were tons of unfilled divots, which is not the course's fault but rather inconsiderate players). The greens had been aerated, and they offered a reduced rate as a result. The greens weren't terrible, though, to putt on. Tee boxes, rough, and bunkers were all in good shape. They put us out 20 minutes before our tee time, and we never saw anyone until the 17th hole when a twosome was catching up with our foursome. Overall, Waverly Woods was a pleasure to play, and they have done a great job at keeping this course in great shape given the recent weather conditions. Kudos to the Super! The staff is also very friendly and welcoming. We had lunch afterwards and the Grill staff were accommodating and made our lunch stop quick for us. Will definitely play again.

I’ve been wanting to play this course for about 2 years and I had an excellent time. The course was in pretty good condition, but the fairways were in great shape . Very friendly staff that assisted me with a course layout booklet and provided me with tips since this was my first time playing it. The course layout was challenging because of some blind trouble areas. You really need to play this course smart. Well worth the cost, and the grass driving range a huge bonus.

I enjoyed playing Waverly Woods golf course. It was in great shape and I liked the layout. Using golf now was simple and I felt the price was very reasonable. I will definitely play this course again.

The course was in great shape. Pace was good. The ranger and cart were very friendly. They both came around a bunch of times to check on us. The only downside is the course is a little pricey. There was no bag drop area or anybody helping and the regular rate is $80. I paid $58 and that was still a little high but I wanted to try it out. I would play again perhaps in the evening when the rates drop.

Fun course in decent shape. Pricey without the use of any coupon/deals.

I thought it was in good condition and the speed of play was great. It had some interesting holes.

I played the red tees which were very fair and gave me a nice advantage. The greens were decent, a little bit sparse with grass in places.

The only drawback to the day was that the range was closed for servicing.

Rough was fair in length and dense in depth. Greens were fast and very true.

This is a true test of golf. Nothing tricky, but don’t stop thinking, mental mistakes are punitive.

Course needs to be played 2 times to really develop an approach to shoot a score that represents your ability.

Course layout is challenging. Condition is a C. No sand in bunkers. Hard pan. The rough is the very first thick. Lost two balls joust off the fairways.
