Waverly Woods Golf Course

Fun course in decent shape. Pricey without the use of any coupon/deals.

I enjoyed the course.

I thought it was in good condition and the speed of play was great. It had some interesting holes.

I played the red tees which were very fair and gave me a nice advantage. The greens were decent, a little bit sparse with grass in places.

The only drawback to the day was that the range was closed for servicing.

Rough was fair in length and dense in depth. Greens were fast and very true.

This is a true test of golf. Nothing tricky, but don’t stop thinking, mental mistakes are punitive.

Course needs to be played 2 times to really develop an approach to shoot a score that represents your ability.

Looking forward to playing again. Soon...

Enjoyable round of golf. Only thing missing was the beer girl. Medium to high rough. Greens in good condition

Course layout is challenging. Condition is a C. No sand in bunkers. Hard pan. The rough is the very first thick. Lost two balls joust off the fairways.

Great day at Waverly Woods...Beautiful weather, great pace of play, course conditions were fantastic and customer service outstanding...Had a great day/wonderful time.

First off the tee, so we set the pace of play, that was a great way to start the round! The course layout was challenging and suits most all levels of recreational golf players. Course recently had aerated greens to get ready for the prime time off the year...other than that, everything was great. No complaints. One of my favorite courses played in the DMV so far.

Although it is early in the season Waverly Woods was in its' typically very good condition. The greens need to grow in a bit but the fairways and tee boxes were ship-shape. Not many people playing so the pace of play was excellent. The staff was as courteous and helpful as ever. I am fortunate to have such an excellent public course no more that 5 minutes from my house.

Played as a twosome behind a slow foursome. Marshall passed a couple times but didn't address the slow play ahead. Two holes open in front of the foresome. Frustrating.

Waverly Woods is a great course. Starting out with the friendly staff of Tom and Joe. The course was good shape for this time of year. The aeration throughout the course will reap benefits in a month or so. The greens rolled very good for still having aeration holes and top dressing. All around great course.

I enjoyed the course, staff was very friendly. Great layout but conditions need some work after a rough winter. I'll give it a couple of months before I go back but will definitely play again.

Want to play a course that comes out of the winter in better than average conditions? Play Waverly Woods. The course was in very good shape for Mid March. The Greens Crew was out blowing winter debris off the fairways. Fairways were being moved. Greens were mowed. A very pleasant experience.

Also noticed that a lot of clearing under trees was done in some areas and there was a lot of new sod in some surrounds, probably from last fall, that looks great! Kudos to the GC Superintendent and his crew.

Just a note that the greens have not grow out of winter yet. So, the poa is ahead of the bent creating a bumpy situation on some greens but that is normal for this time of year. No one should expect in season conditions in March.

I have played this course many times. The greens on the front were not that great today. Mainly because the weather and it is winter. When the weather gets better the greens will get better. The reset of the course was great. Tom, at check-in is always great. Great customer service with a smile.

with it being winter time this course is in great shape all around. the greens are not summer time greens but are still In great shape. the only unfortunate thing about this course is the amount of divots in the fairway from folks not replacing them.
