Nice course
Played here for the last few years. Usually play twice a weekend. The price continues to go up every year. Pace of play continues to get worse. The course is usually always in good shape. $109 to play on punches greens is ridiculous though
Great experience
Staff was very professional and friendly. Great layout and must play golf course.
Great February golf day
Overall the course was in great shape. The greens were fast (recently aerated and dressed) but a little too sandy. Unfortunately there were an amazing amount of divots that were not replaced. Some of the fairways were littered with them.
Outside of that, the course was in great shape and the pace of play was great!
Thanks for the review - we appreciate your comments! As the grass begins to grow with the warm weather, the divots will fill in. With our warm winter, we've had more play than normal in the offseason, and more divots as a result. We'll also reinforce our efforts at reminding players to fix or replace their divots.

Great condition for winter
Played on a 50 degree day and the course conditions were great. Definitely will play it again.

For a January round I couldn't ask for more
Playing golf on January 6th in the Washington DC area is a rare thing and to have the course in pretty good condition considering nothing has grown in two months is a feat of great doing. One of my favorite courses in the area.

2nd time
I just played my 2nd round at waverly golf course and after buying a good amount of merchandise from the club house (had a great sale) I loaded up my clubs and went to the starter. I was by myself like I am most of the time due to no friends that play golf or just no friends lol I’ll leave that up to you, anyway after talking the talk with Joel (the starter) joe the guy I was pairs with showed up, he was about my age maybe a little younger, anyway he was a local here at the course and really helped me out with. Where to hit the ball and where not to go. I just had 10 stitches put in my calf so putty my tee in was a chore but anyway we zipped through the front 9 in well under 3 joy it at hole 10 we caught the back up. I really enjoyed the course but the green fees are a little high imo I used golf now to get a still high but better price of 60 something for winter golf and cart path only. All and all I had a good experience and would love to play spring or summer golf but I just don’t know
Thank you for your feedback! I'm glad you were able to enjoy the golf course with a local! We are indeed regularly restricted to cart paths over the Winter months to protect the health of the turf over the Winter.

Turned out to be a great round
There was a bit of a frost delay in the morning but it didn't impact us much. The course played fast. Be advised it is cart path only throughout winter like some others are now (we knew that going in, see we prepared accordingly). It was in good shape, perhaps slightly more wet than Waverly normally is (usually very dry). Overall a good day. Probably will be back next once it warms up.

Best round in a while
The course was beautiful and well maintained. Lots of work with the leaves and mowing are evident. I ended up playing by myself on a beautiful Friday afternoon and it was one of the most memorable rounds in a long time. Felt like it was own personal golf course! The yardage from the cart is a nice touch and the staff was all very friendly.

Great course, go before 1 and play a 3 1/2 hour round! Love how they give warm up balls! Prices are a bit high but that’s Just golf now l
