The par-5 5th is a great risk/reward hole if you're brave enough to take on the fairway bunkers. Photo submitted by Back9Ben on 05/22/2020

Cronin Fox
Great course. Fairways in great condition. Greens need work but it is early in season. Great Bargain with GN.
disappointing
I fell in Love with Crumpin Fox years ago, it is a championship level course and used to be accentuated by the super friendly staff. I live a good distance away and have tried to get out there once or twice a year because it was special to me. Last years visit will be my last, actual date of play was 7/30/21. Where it was once the kind of place where they got to know people and made you feel like part of the family, I recall the assistant pro calling down my name from the office up stairs in the pro-shop when I was at the counter, keep in mind I hadn't been there since the previous season and he knew my name by voice, made me feel very welcome! Now they are just about making every last buck they can. I understand that prices have gone up everywhere and it is all about supply and demand but now we are made to feel like just another customer and your only value to them is your greens fee. Over the years I was able to get the birthday free round, well that's gone, they used to have groupons , those are gone too, A couple of years ago I had a groupon for four and only had three players and had to eat the forth, last year I came up with eight players and the rates had gone up significantly, after the round we wanted to hang out on the deck and have a meal, pretty much all the tables were reserved, we were kicked out of one table, told to eat quickly at the second table and asked to leave that table before we were finished eating, two hours later no one ever showed up at the first table and only two at the second table, it was an unpleasant experience. I was a bit embarrassed as I was the one responsible for all of us being there that day. I still think the course is very nice but just not worth the hassle and cost as there similar caliber courses closer to home , some with more affordable rates. If you've never been it is worth the trip but is just isn't special anymore :(
Spectacular course!
Played 10/31 after they received over 2 inches of rain on 10/30. Course did well to drain that amount of water and still be playable. Carts only on the front and my 4some (who drove 2 hrs from RI) only had cart bags with us. Staff went out of their way to get all 4 of us carry bags from the pro shop. Great customer service all around!
This is one of my favorite courses. Every hole is interesting and challenging. The entire property is serene and peaceful. Hardly ever saw another foursome. Conditions, given the heavy amount of rain the day before, were great! If you're in New England, this is a must play.
Ps-the rate I posted was for pre-pay Father's Day special that I'd bought earlier in the year.
Awesome course, always in great shape, staff always goes out of their way to ensure you enjoy your time there.
Expectations
The course, staff and lunch all met my expectations and met the standards everyone spoke of that have played. Well worth the drive from Connecticut
Greens are tough as always. Great and challenging layout.
The Crump
Fantastic as airways especially with the changing foliage, will return again and again.
Crump doesn't disappoint again!
Crump was great. Unfortunately, I tried to call GolfNow to cancel two of my 4some due to covid issues but I cannot get a live voice or an email address to explain the situation to GolfNow. I'd like a credit for future use from GN. I'm not looking for a credit to my credit card. I tried calling GN but the recorded voice says they are not accepting call. The Chat room isn't working.
Crump is a great track and very well maintained, always. Great value.
The course was in great shape. Greens and fairways were great. Absolute beautiful course, but very challenging
First, the course is absolutely spectacular. Best conditioned course in New England.
Second, I booked my tee time 4 hours prior to playing. When booking it included a cart, which I paid for. When I got to the course I was told no carts were available because of the rain. That’s understandable to not have carts in certain weather conditions but when I questioned it I was immediately deflected that it wasn’t the course’s problem as I paid through TeeOff. This isn’t a course that’s meant to be walked with the long distances between tee boxes and the up and down nature of the fantastic layout. I was given a push cart that didn’t have any straps which made pushing my bag around comical. If the course’s position is that it’s not their problem and leave it to the paying customer then maybe they should rethink their relationship with TeeOff. Or a simple “I’m sorry about the mixup” would have gone a long way instead of deflecting and passing the buck.
6 hour pace
Had to leave early due to terrible pace of play. 15 holes took 4 hours and 45 minutes
