Waverly Oaks Golf Club

I was excited to play Waverly Oaks as I’ve heard many good things about this tract.

Sadly, the course conditions were very disappointing.

The tee boxes are in terrible condition. For some reason they weren’t mowed yesterday. Beyond that there are dozens & dozens of unfilled divots on each of them. The sidehills on most elevated greens are in disrepair (a liability attorney’s dream). The greens are riddled with old ballmarks (should have taken a cue from the cart guy when we were putting by the clubhouse. He directed us to the putting green by the 1st hole and said it was much more representative of the course’s greens). Overall the course is unkept. Guessing they’re focusing on building houses instead of maintaining the course. Too bad they have a nice layout and are squandering their chance to make this place shine.

Everything about this course is done the right way, from the greeting to the starter and the course. Each hole varies and it’s in great shape. I almost didn’t want to leave such a positive review and would prefer to keep this place a hidden gem.

The staff is tremendous! They great you with a smile when you pull up to drop your clubs and it’s like that until you put your clubs back into your car. They are true pros at what they do… and they CARE about making your time there a great experience. I consider this my home course as I play at least once a week there.

Challenging golf course but it is designed, so that you can shape your shots and have a wonderful opportunity to score.

The place looks excellent. The staff was spectacular. The only problem was the group in front of us had a female golfer who is hitting three golf balls on each T-shot. Make our round a little longer.

Waverly changed their replay policy. Full price for. Both rounds now. The tee sheet was empty for over an hour . It’s a fun course. We always pay the high greens fees and make it up on the replay. Can’t do that anymore.

I have played The Country Club, Westchester C.C., Palisades Dunes, Redlands Mesa C.C., and Marty Sanchez Links. Those are the only golf courses I have played that are nicer than this. Only Redlands was public at the time. Beautiful course. Greens were tricky but rolled true, in the middle of a drought and it still looked nice. Great layout and some fun uphill holes. You get a bucket of range balls included. Reviewers need to get it together...this is a 5 star course all day. If it's too expensive, then don't play. I think it's worth every penny for a golfer that wants to play a nice course.

The course was in great shape, especially considering we have not had much rain. Waverley Oaks should repair the cart paths (dangerous in spots).

Great overall experience! If this course was private, I’d join.
