Always a great round
Play this course often. Love that it’s open year round.
Very good public track
Nice staff, good variety of holes, teeing options up to a legitimate 7000 yards and an excellent value.
Beauty and the Beast
The lady handling the Pro Shop woke up on the wrong side of the bed, we had a frost delay, and there was no indoor area to stay out of the wind and cold, no coffee, no driving carts on the fairways, cart path only, being handicapped didn’t matter, we where told “the water has been turned off so you can’t go on the fairways”(?) and they had placed rope along the whole cart path, that’s a lot of rope, The course is one of the MOST beautiful we’ve played, but it’s a real challenge with the cart path only, being a mountain goat would greatly help . Almost filed a complaint to the American Disabilities Act.
Beautiful course
Course was in great condition, such a fun course to play. Would recommend anyone to play here. Very friendly staff with great Attitudes
Good job of keeping leaves off course
For fall or winter golf, conditions were great! Happy to see few leaves on the course and greens. Just keep your balls in fairways and out of trees and your round will be perfect!
Everything was great considering the Covid restrictions..
Would recommend to anyone
GOT SCREWED AGAIN
Yesterday was the 3rd time we got up early on a Sunday to pl;ay only to have this course add people in between groups at the turn in front of us and say they accidentally overbooked again,Their money grab cost us at least 45 minutes and turned a good positive round into an aggrevating 5+ hour round crawling around the back nine behind the extra group.
Regional bucket list winner
This course should be on every New Englanders’ bucket list. Great golf experience & outstanding value. The course is challenging but not over the top in any way....very fair. Course conditions were superior to almost any public daily fee courses & superior to most private facilities.
Fire the starter; 5 1/2 hour round
Starter is a curmudgeon. Grumpy, non-conversant. That would be OK, except he packed the course sticking 2-somes in between 4-somes and offered no flex for the 3rd course. Took 5 1/2 hours. On ALL tee boxes there were three different groups waiting. Ironic since the first bullet on their scorecard states, "At Crosswinds, we enforce 4 1/2 or less per round." Too bad all 4 rangers didn't show up on course. Their carts remained at clubhouse. It is not a hard job to look at watch and figure out distance between groups on tee #1.
Great Day- One Opportunity for Improvement
Played on a picture perfect Fall day. The course (Jones/Ouimet) was in superb condition. Everything about the experience on the golf course was terrific.
I would offer one opportunity for improvement. The staff we encountered was not at all welcoming. We encountered four individuals, check-in, starter, return to clubhouse, and waitress. We do not recall a smile from any of the staff. Rather they seemed burdened. In response to some questions. We received abrupt answers that were at best minimally helpful.
Perhaps a reminder about customer service would be in order. The feeling that we were intruding on their time detracted from what was a wonderful day on a golf course that we all enjoyed.
