Early tee times not rewarded
Twice I’ve booked an early tee time on Sundays(6 or 6:10) and after making the turn in 1 hour and 30 mins tops... new groups had been sent off the back. I don’t think it’s fair that the people that wake up earlier get stuck behind new groups on the back 9.
Couldn't be better!
Perfect day for golfing.
Fairways and greens were maintained well.
Green was really fast.
I really enjoyed my day out there!
Prime Conditioned for Metro Track
Used to take the T back in college days...brings back plenty of memories...located a stones throw from Boston College is just a joy to play...used to be private in it's day as a good amount of the land has been taken to shorten the original design...the front side plays much tougher with 3 par fives while the back side is a relief with mostly short par fours...the greens were true and some of them are impossible as far as trying to get down in two...staff was outstanding...even met the new director of Sterling Golf...great guy and immediately was looking for input for improvement...what's not to like...enjoy the Boston Skyline from the sixth hole green...lovely experience...Thank you!!!
Only Worth It If You Live Close
Was not super impressed with this course. All the holes essentially sloped to one side. The holes overall were a little short for my preference. You could really tell they tried to pack the holes in as tight as they could. Convenient location from where I live, but unless you are in a similar situation, there are better courses to play in the area.
Unless You Can Walk Here, Don't Bother
It's convenient if you live in Brighton and holes 14-18 aren't bad, but that's all this course has to offer. The front nine snakes up the side of a steep hill, making for a tough climb (or good leg workout) without a cart. The holes are packed in right next to one another and wayward balls flying your way should be expected. The cost isn't helping things either. We paid $27 for nine on Friday afternoon, when you can pay less and get on at better courses at the same time for 18. Ultimately the location near Boston College and the young professional crowd in Alston/Brighton still attract a fair number of players, but if you can play anywhere else, don't hesitate.
