rode hard and put away wet
Played this course 60 days ago. A lot has changed. The course is in tough shape. The lack of water has hurt this layout. Many fairways were a majority of brown hardpan vs green grass. The good news is your drives will role an extra 10 to 20 yards. The surprising issue were numerous greens, being burnt and brown. You will see on #10. The bunkers need attention, rocky and very hard. I feel there are better values at nearby courses for less money and better conditions.
Terrible course
Overpriced at $50.00 to play. Burned out fairways, rough and sand traps were like rock. Played behind club championship players and it took 5-1/2 hrs to play. Want my money and time back!
Worst condition course I have played on Golfnow.
Well maintained
Pleasantly surprised and happy with wonderful course conditions.
The fairways and greens were well taken care of and green despite the extremely dry weather.
Great day
A Good long course
A course that keeps getting better each year. Long but with room, greens are fair with weather being as dry and well kept.
worthy of your time and money
This course will test your accuracy off the tee box. Most holes have bunkers at 250 - 285 off the tee box. If not bunkers at those yardage, then you will be dealing with water. The 5th hole is a challenge, you will see. The fairways show some play, along with the tee boxes. They are doing some replanting, A more aggressive course repair schedule would be beneficial. The greens were fast and smooth. Pace of play was not an issue. Look forward to playing this course again.
Where was everyone?
The starter wasn't there. There was a ladies league in front of us. We could have shotgun started on the 10th and avoided waiting 15 minutes a hole just to shoot. We took it upon ourselves to skip to the back 9 then go back and finish up the front. On a course this size golf leagues should require a golf cart. Half of all the ladies in the 3 foursomes in front of us were walking! It was brutal
great shape
the course has come along way in three years
Challenging layout
This course has had a lot of monet put into it and overall conditions were good. The greens were firm and not very receptive. A few of the party 4's were absolute beasts, forcing you to either take on a long, forced carry water hazzard, or to fit your tee shot into a tight area. Part 3's were challenging but fair. You will have to be striking the ball very well to score here.
Well done!!
I started playing this course 5 years ago.. It was in my opinion in major need of TLC. It's been a complete turn around in conditions. Greens are large and super quick (that was after 7 straight days of rain), fairways are full and it's a great layout. Challenging yet forgiving in the right places.. Overall a great play and will return ASAP!! TJ in the proshop is a great guy as well!
Nice greens
The bunkers are in bad shape, sand is hard and shallow. Need better beer on tap. Overall course is good.
Fun Challenging Course
I was pleasantly surprised with how challenging this course was. With a lot of long par 4's and 5's, it was really the length which made the course challenging which as a long hitter, I enjoyed.
Miles of smiles
What a great time...The course was in fantastic shape and the staff was even better. I had one of my best experiences playing golf. I met 3 strangers one being a member and absolutely had the best time. The course plays long and the atmosphere reflected great vision and care by Sully (greens keeper). Nick and Jim were also friendly hosts that boasted strong smiles. I can't wait to play it again. I also had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Wally F. Roeneke, that would be Jeremy's dad. A true gentleman! I highly recommend playing Pembroke Country Club.
Solid Course
Great heavily wooded course. Found a hot deal on Golf Now.com. Enjoyed warming up on their grass driving range. Starters are friendly and flexible. Overall the course was not too difficult, however there were a few dog leg par 4's with tough lay-up locations. Played this course 5 times and enjoyed it every time. Will be back.
Great Place to PLAY !!!
Greatly Improved !
Keep up good work !
Friendly ,Profesional Staff !
A good solid course
I played here on a weekday after hearing good things about the course. The course has a great layout set in a park like setting. The stars of the course are the greens which are in great condition. They rolled smooth and fast. The tee boxes need a little TLC. Some fairways had a lot of divots. Stay out of the bunkers because the sand is hard as concrete. Pace of play was fine during a quiet weekday.
Great value....Fun Course....greens are challeging
You just have to play it...JR and Wally are working hard...you will have a great time and stop at the19 th hole...Good food and liquid replenishment
A lot of dry hard pan to close of the fairways but
Nice course , with a nice layout, some challenging holes around water, a friendly staff ,but to much hard pan on the sides of a lot of fairways, I will play it again
Best public course on south shore
Great conditions, large greens, challenging fairways that dare you to be aggressive from the tee's.
Great track and enjoyable experience
My first round at Pembroke CC was a great experience. Upon check-in the staff was very helpful, I received a free yardage book to help me navigate my round. The course is definitely a challenge and I will be back.
