Pembroke CC
Always enjoy playing here. Course never disappoints. #18 is one of best closing holes on South Sho
way over priced
course still has a long way to go. very little grass in most fairways some fairways are mud along the side. greens ok but way over priced for conditions. better off in plymouth
Steady and current
Good work being done. Good layout. Getting a lot of play - need for getting a quicker pace w/players.
Nice layout 1,10 9,18 are very nice starting holes and finishing holes
The course just needs a little more water I'm sure it's beautiful in the spring and fall.
Good layout, but place could use a lot of weed-b-gone & miracle grow.
Great layout, nice practice facilities, friendly and helpful staff and rarely any long waits
Great staff. Excellent golf pro who is great at lessons for all skill levels. Highly recommend going to Pembroke for a lesson. Course is challenging but playable with an interesting layout.
Tight Fairways
Great lay-out. Tight fairways and some holes can play very long. Straight tee-shots are rewarded. If you are having trouble getting off the tee, might be a long day. Hole 13 is a par 5, and a long straight tee shot will get you in some trouble - ball will go through the fairway... Tee boxes and bunkers need some TLC. Overall nice course but a little on the expensive side Friday-Monday. Great value during the week. Staff very friendly.
played on a Friday afternoon. We played as 3some, but we're stuck waiting behind a Single all day. There was a 2some ahead of him but he refused to join them. It made for a long day. They also had a 2some behind us with aNother Single behind them. I don't understand why they let Singles out in the middle of a busy day.
Challenging for a high hndicapper
Nice course... I enjoyed the round. Foursome of comparable golf skills or lack there-of. Some water on a few holes keep your attention. Electric carts so very quiet on the course. Had a light drizzle when we started, cleared for a while, then restarted a light rain. Just enough to keep us cool. Water was available at several locations on the course. Pro-shop, clubhouse, and lounge are very nice. Very much worth the price...Regularly $39 for Seniors,
nice experience
course was wet from prior rain.
cart paths only. cart paths need replacing.
greens and fairways were better than ever.
Not a great experience!
Got to the course 30 minutes ahead of time and they were running 20 minutes late. Course was not in great shape. Bunkers were unkept, not raked or groomed. Grass was sparse even in the fairways, the rough was also spotty. Greens were OK but not great. Pace of play was very slow, almost a 5 hour round. We waited on nearly every tee. I do not recommend this course!
A true gem
I have played Pembroke many times and have never seen it in better shape. The greens were very fast and the fairways were in great condition. They are obviously doing alot of work on this course and it shows
If you haven't been in a while check it out I think you will enjoy it.
Tough course but fun
Course was in pretty rough shape if you miss the fairway like I do all the time. Fairways were in great shape and greens are coming along. Some holes were under construction but overall pretty decent shape for this time of year.
Great track makes great value!
Played Pembroke for 2nd time this fall after fellow golf buddies recommended it. Loved layout. Comparable to more expensive Plymouth county courses. Greens as good as any of the 20+ courses played this year. On 2nd visit course workers laying sod on some fairway edges impacted by summers drought can only improve condition for next year. Bar and grill overlooking course also reasonably priced and adds to overall value in golf visit.
Heartbreaking
Don't be fooled by the tee box on #1, or the green on 18 that you first see when registering. Scratch that, the amount of leaves dormant for at least a day or so should have been a red flag.
NE has experienced a drought....I get it. Simply no excuse for piles of dirt (w grass growing from...so it hasn't been touched in at least 60 days), rusted equipment, sink holes w boards laid across (safety first!). This place needs MAJOR work.
Jeremy Roenick a terrific hockey player, always enjoyed his style. But even better at business....he's got to be bilking a ton of cash from this place where he has invested so little. Paid under $4M for property at auction e years ago and has been milking since....oh but he did put a new deck in above the 18th green and remodeled 1 hole #15...the one you see in brochure. To say this place is tired, falling from grace of the gem that it was 30 years ago is an understatement. Put us out of our misery Jeremy. Either develop 9 holes w condos and respect the other 9, plow the hole dog track or put it on market for $5.5 or 6, take your profit and move on.
Too nice of an layout to treat like a natural gas fracking site.
