Hawk Hollow Championship Golf Course - Middle 9/Back 9

The 18th hole was very challenge. I had a perfect drive right in the middle of the fairway at 150 yard. I need 145 to clear the water to reach the pin at 156. I hit 172 on the top of the green (dual level green) with a steep fast down slope curve put which ended up with a bougy. I like this golf course, and will play again.

I reserved a single open tee time and was put with a double and a single. The course asked us to go off as two twosomes. That was fine, however the person I was placed with who was a very good player, wanted to scout for lost balls continuously during the round. This made to round go for an unnecessary long time. He must have found a dozen or more balls during his searches. And I must have lost 4-5 balls during the round he didn't offer to replace any of the lost balls I suffered. I have never played with a player as young as this guy was who felt he had to add lost balls to his stash.

It was a picture perfect evening and the course was in immaculate shape. Other than some soggy areas played like it was in late June conditions. Greens were aerated but the putts rolled pretty true.

good risk/reward layout - makes one think. greens large, moderate undulation, very well maintained. par 3s are very challenging. holes 1 thru 18 are my favorite - holes19 thru 27 are too narrow for my liking.

It was in great condition and the greens were flawless. I generally don't like courses that take you through a subdivision but it didn't see like it when I was playing. You wind all over the place going to the next tee box. It would be easy to think you were lost. I would definitely recommend this course. I will go back.

Played here a few times, always good experience. Can be challenging from the tips if wind is up. Would recommend to anyone looking for a good experience in the area, great deal through online booking.

Challenging from the Blues, some blind shots and long rough make accuracy a key. Course well maintained and greens putted nice.

I liked the way the course viewed from the T-boxes. Especially for 1st time players. Loved the pace of the greens (fast).

They have 27 holes that are all challenging. Greens roll true and hold pretty good. Trees, sand water are abundent. Anyone will enjoy this course. The staff are great and very helpful.

Nice course but I paid 90 for 2 people through golf now and there were guys who had the exact same tee time for a lot less who I met. Also they had an event going on when my tee time was and we had to wait 30 min but at least they let us off the back nine vs waiting longer. Ranger yelled at me for driving on fairway because it was a par 3 but there were no signs or roped off. How was I to know? It was a nice course and guys at desk were real polite - got an extra 9 for free. But the course was not near as pretty as the website shows and not worth the cost.

Great course and runs like a well oiled machine. I cant say anything new that hasnt been written about this place except really try and give 19-27 a try. Its doent get enough respect and is my favorite 9 by far.

The greens ran true, every par 3 was a 90% water carry, practice fascilities were ample and awesome. Paid a great price for 2 on a Saturday.

We enjoyed playing this course and recommend it. There was one small negative--we had arrived early at the course and since we had booked with golfnow.com, the person on the desk repeatedly told us that he should only honor our original tee time and he was doing us a big favor by letting us out. THERE WAS NO ONE ON THE COURSE AND NO TEE TIMES AFTER US FOR ABOUT AN HOUR. He seemed very annoyed with us! If courses do not want to book tee times with golfnow, why do it! My husband and I would not have found this beautiful course on our own.

Hawk Hollow was in great condition. Very playable out of the rough because it wasn't so long, thick, and knarly. Ball sat up very well and provide a good chance to exit. The greens were in beautiful condition and are not tricked up and filled with impossible reads and multiple tiers. I think an excellent balance/challenge was given. The sprinkler heads all had yardages. The tee boxes for the par 3's were prominately marked with the yardage which you could read from your cart. A great assistance to help speed club selection and speed of play. The carts were great as were the paths, green side bunkers, ect. Everything was very clean.

Just a all around wonderful experience. The greens were lightning fast. Fairways are pretty tight.

I think it is greater than any golf courses in Lansing area.

It is beautiful.

After playing the first none holes, we went to the next nine only to find a back up with a league starting. The Starter took us to another nine location savinig us time, as we were able to play through smoothly. That would not happen at most places. Great staff.

No waiting. Great shape. Great design. Friendly staff. Great value

This course is in great shape and greens rolled true, but the lack of pace enforcement by anybody made for an extremely long day and there is no course that should take 5 1/2 hours to play. A ranger with authority would have made this an incredible day with my Dad, brother, and son.
