Stow South at Stow Acres Country Club

Greens on the North course were not cut recently and some were in desperate need of repair.

I haven’t played here in 10 years. Had to be the worst course that I’ve played in the 10 years since. My son and I play different courses every weekend so I’ve seen a lot and this place is horrendous. The greens are literally longer than most fairways. Fairways were beat. Carts sucked. Had to switch carts after 9 because every time to pushed the gas it took 30 seconds to go.

I would not waste my money here.

Perfect day. Course was in good shape. Rather slow round

Played the south course. Course conditions were good. Greens were good, and a little easier due to their slow speed. The course does need to figure out a way to fix the eighth hole. Not being able to access the white and blue tees because of a bridge issue really changes one of the better holes on the course, and now it plays as a 240 yard par four.

The staff has always been very friendly and accommodating. I was told that the conditions on the north course were not as good, so I hope that improves for my next visit.

Many courses in our area have been greatly affected by the amount of rain we’ve had this season, so I understand the difficulty of maintaining great conditions. I would recommend playing the South course.

We played the south course and was really impressed. The one problem was the starter. We were a foursome and we were followed by 2 singles and then twosomes. This is typical with a lot of courses, pair people together. Still, we had a great time and the course was in very good shape., maybe a few rough spots but that happens.

I’m surprised that the conditions were not better with all this rain, the greens should have been flawless but there were several that were burnt and created horrible putting experiences. Overall, I would think it’s a $70 max place with cart.

I thought Stow was a premier course. I do realize they’ve had a lot of rain.

Tee Boxes were beat up and the grass was long.

Greens were bumpy and slow, like putting on a shag carpet. The first par 3 had the tee closed and they put down a mat to hit off of 64 yards out.

I dislike writing a bad review but I’ve played multiple courses in the past few weeks.

Stow was disappointing!

Was almost scared off by the reviews and was all set to play somewhere else, but decided to go for a longer course, so played Stow Acres. I can see where there might be complaints, with some patches needing attention, but overall was good, and the greens were perfect. Staff was friendly. Booked directly on the course website for just $45, so a complete bargain. Even though there was light rain, we had a lovely time.

Back to Stow Acres and it was 20 years ago great. There range was a spot down the street and balls were junk . Course which I played was the South and fairways were a B and greens were C slowest greens ever played.

Have played this course for a few years but conditions have really deteriorated. Very few greens didn’t have large patches across them.

For $80, I cannot recommend the course to friends any longer.

I have always like Stow North. Played this past weekend and the greens were very hairy. The roll was bumpy and breaks were non existant. Aim at the hole and bang it.

Heavy rains have caused some damage to shady areas of greens, looks fungus related.

Staff here is amazing, everybody is golf oriented and its a beautiful thing. The course is stunning, its not in perfect condition, but neither is our game, eh? Driving range? You betcha. This is top 3 of favorite courses outside of the city.

Greens are slower than fairways. Tee boxes are in shambles. Greens are just horrific.
