It is what it is
I feel the owners don’t have a grasp of what qualifies as playable , cow pastures at is finest here folks , if they charged 20-25 i bet they would double their clientele….
I’d imagine 7 days a week u could have a fast round here only benefit
Backyard Golf
I have made 3 huge mistakes in my life, and playing Michigan meadows is one of them. First of all, the staff were over their head. The guy running the pro shop could barely see the screen because the font was too small for him. Either get this man some glasses or increase the size of the font. Second, the tee boxes were more roughed up than my ex-girlfriend. There were no level places to stand. There were more weeds in the tee box than grass, and nobody fixes their divots. Thirdly, the fairways were more prepared for a backyard barbecue then for golfing. We’re talking more weeds in the fairway then in a cannabis shop. Not to mention the ground was harder than my SAT. Fourthly, the greens were slower than pro shop wifi. I practically had to use a 3 wood to get it to the hole. Also, some greens had divots in them! If the pro shop would have charged me $5 I would have been offended but me and my dad paid $75 for 9 holes. Insanity. Be careful on the first par 5 as there are electric wires that cross the fairways making it difficult to reach the green in 2 as both my dad and I hit them. Needless to say, we did not have a good time. I will not be back. I wouldn’t send my worst enemy to this course.
Course is in rough shape
Fairways are longer than the grass in my yard. Course was so wet, lost 3-4 balls due to plugging in the fairway. Greens were in good shape. 1/2 the tee boxes were good.
Almost to cold
We were excited to get out but it was a little too cold for us. Too many layers to swing properly but still had fun. Course was better than we expected.
Tee boxes need a lot of work!!
Most of the tee boxes on this course are in horrible shape. They are tons of bare ares without grass, they are uneven and very difficult to hit off of. On a good note the greens were in surprisingly good shape.
Owners review
We’re going into our third season of ownership here we’ve done a whole lot of improvement still got ways to go, but we got new carts this year and the course held over well through the winter. We look forward to continued success and bringing this course back to the jewel it always was. This year we plan to put a halfway house for beverage service on the course as well as full service restaurant seven days a week.
This is a Course you should come check out if you haven’t in many years it’s a much improved. Sincerely Mark And Camille
