Love this course
The Meadows at GVSU is always wonderful to play. The course is fair for all levels of players and in great shape. The greens can be intimidating due to the speed.
Just slow
Very friendly starter stated he likes to keep rounds at 2 hours per 9. I have no problem with that. Our group played fast when we could. The group in front of us was the typical "I think I can reach the green ,I better wait" . After 9 holes and 2½ hours I had other places I had to be so I gave up. I just can't watch players who can't hit 200 off the tee wait to hit into a flag 250 yards away. Mr. Ranger should be hired to move slow players around. I like the course and the staff is amazing. 5 hour rounds are unacceptable.
Great course
Best fairways I’ve ever played on. Overall the course is a treat. Very tough though especially if it’s windy.

Meadows
Excellent shape, greens were fast and true. One of the nicest courses in the area
Tough Track
I played here A LOT back in 2006-2008 when I attended GVSU. Now I play it once a year. at least.
It is a tough course. Links style. A lot of heather not far from the fairways. A lot of ways to lose golf balls.
Conditions are always great.
For some reason they had the greens rolling faster than I have ever seen on my 9/4/24 round. Course is tough enough without super fast greens.
Still a fun place to play if you don't mind tough golf.
Better if you offered free range balls before the round
Wet day but great golf
Played on a Thursday afternoon where it was raining a little bit on and off most of the day. This course has hosted NCAA championships and is a great test of golf, with many interesting holes and challenges. The greens were lightning quick and the course conditions were excellent from tee to green. We didn't have any issues with pace of play, especially on the back nine, possibly due to the weather. Would love to play here again!
Good course. Too many players.
Great layout. Very well maintained, especially the greens.
Too many people: Played behind a FIVE-some; solo golfers cutting around the course, looking for openings; HS golf teams taking up all of the practice areas.
