About
Established in 1927, Chemung Hills Golf Club is one Livingston County's oldest courses. The classic design has withstood the test of time beautifully and it is still considered one of the area's toughest public courses. The layout stretches across lush, rolling hills that are dappled with mature trees. Chemung Hills is known almost as much for the beautiful scenery as it is for the challenging design, which is characterized by its elevation changes. The ups and downs on the course range from subtly tricky to dramatic and intimidating. The layout has a player-friendly mix of short and mid-length holes, even all of the par 5s are reachable. Though you may not need length, your shots will need to be straight and accurate. You'll face blind shots on several holes. Strong iron play will be generously rewarded on this tough golf course.

Don’t go after 4pm
Signed up for a tee time for 4pm, 18 holes. We saw drink/food cart in the first hole but never again for the rest of the day. We stopped at the turn around 6pm, and the bar/restaurant, bathrooms, pro shop were all closed. Nothing was open. If you allow people to book 18 holes at 4pm, don’t close everything down so early! We played all the way through, finished up around 8. Never saw a ranger or staff after the first hole.
Haven’t played this course in 20 years, thoroughly enjoyed it!
Good shape, very hilly, used all my clubs. Interesting holes and great views. Greens were just plugged and sanded so couldn’t really rate them. Reservations made no reference to green conditions.. i played from senior tee (I’m 75) and the hole lengths were very good, couple of par 5’s a little short. I will play it again.

Average Golf Course
The layout is good. Some easy holes, some challenging holes. The tee boxes were subpar and the greens were pretty beat up, though they rolled well. Not a course I would travel to again. It's one of many in Michigan, nothing special.

Good course, good greens
Great course for the golf now hot deal price! Greens good, different slopes to greens, sand good, nice different layout with dog legs.

Not single golfer friendly
They force you you ride with a person you don’t know if you are a single golfer. The started said it was not an option and leave if I don’t like it because he said so.

I just love this course due to the variety of holes. There are some holes I love and some I hate but that's what makes it great. Many chances to score (1, 5, 6, 8, 10, 11, 15) but also some holes where you need to hit iron off the tee and play smart (2, 3, 7, 12 and 16). Holes are far enough apart so you are never in another holes fairway. Highly recommend playing this course. If you can play for $40 or less then that's a good deal.
Group in front of us more concerned about getting golf balls than golfing. 10 minutes on hole 12 getting balls out of the water

Great value for the golf $
Solid course, challenging greens, great staff, poor food options at the turn. Not long, some target golf mixed with "swing away" holes.
