About
Faulkwood Shores Golf Club first opened in 1971, exactly a century after the historic farmhouse that serves as the clubhouse was built. Located in Howell, it's considered one of southeastern Michigan's best values. The golf course has a traditional layout that is player friendly enough for players of all skill levels but there are some challenging hole designs that will appeal to those that are more advanced. Water hazards come into play on eight holes throughout the golf course, including a stream that runs alongside the first hole. The fairways are tight and the greens are fast and well guarded by bunkers. There are also a few subtle undulations that can be tricky to maneuver. Faulkwood Shores Golf Club requires accuracy but it's not overly punishing if you're slightly errant.

Great course - Good value
Have played here many times and it is always challenging and enjoyable. Overall, its in decent shape, the golf cart paths are rough and off the fairway can be a real adventure. The greens are terrific , roll true with good pace. They have a nice putting practice area and driving range. A nice mix of tough and manageable holes. Well worth the time.
Nice course for the money , the back 9 was way better then then front condition wise but I’ll definitely play here again.
Great for price payed
Beautiful course for March golf didn’t expect maintenance to be on point yet but the course was still very well kept and beautiful there was someone cleaning up leaves during the round around the greens with a mower and vacuum so I’m sure in the peak of the season the course is very nice will definitely be back again

The greens were in better shape than most of the courses I played in the summer! The course itself was still in great shape! The only issue is the tee boxes and the cart path. They both need a lot of help! I'd go back again any time and I will!
Course in great shape
Love this golf course, has always been one of my favorites. Great value for the money, and always in good condition.… Problem today was leaves. Nothing was cleaned off any green, and practically every single green was impossible to putt
Fall golf
Beautiful day....golfed with family and had a ton of fun. The only drawbacks ...letting singles come out right after our foursome and the fact that the course had just plugged, sanded and rolled the greens, although they still rolled fairly true. To be fair to the course, they actually called the day before and informed me of the maintenance they had scheduled. Not many courses are that courteous!
Could use some work
Course could be very nice, but, needs some investment. #1 is almost impossible to see where you should try to hit tee shot, tree on left should probably be removed to make it a fair hole. #3 the fairway from 100 yards in should be less penal so balls don't just roll to the right, into water. #8 green, pin was in middle back, my partner hit a chip shot that was rolling 10-15 feet past the hole, it ended up rolling down to the front right corner of green into an open sprinkler hole at the front of the green. Lost ball. Greens on #3 & #8 should be slower or flattened. Almost carny golf on those 2. Worst part was the cart paths. Atrocious shape with huge cracks, potholes, tree root damage. Also, some bunkers under repair. Fairways with damage, etc.
Not what I expect for full price. There's a hidden great course here,layout has potential but, it needs work.
Overall I’ll rate the course as 8 out of 10 scale. Fairways and greens were good! Fair challenge for seniors who no longer hit 200+ drives.
terrible conditions
good deal through the app, but the tee boxes were in terrible condition, greens were slow from being aerated, goose poop all over the fairway and greens. I was hoping for a better experience but I think I will stick to ironwood and hawk meadows.
Find the hot deal
Well worth what I paid. Long course (6800 yards) and tests your long clubs. Don’t come here looking to work on short irons unless you are fine with shooting 100. Would definitely play again, but can’t see spending more than $30 for it. I’m
Great value for the money
Course was generally in great shape. The layout doesn’t appear demanding but there are some tight holes on the back and at 6,800 plus yards it’s a surprisingly good test. Greens rolled very well. This place won’t blow you away but they’re not trying to, so for the money, this is a great value.
