About
Faulkwood Shores Golf Club first opened in 1971, exactly a century after the historic farmhouse that serves as the clubhouse was built. Located in Howell, it's considered one of southeastern Michigan's best values. The golf course has a traditional layout that is player friendly enough for players of all skill levels but there are some challenging hole designs that will appeal to those that are more advanced. Water hazards come into play on eight holes throughout the golf course, including a stream that runs alongside the first hole. The fairways are tight and the greens are fast and well guarded by bunkers. There are also a few subtle undulations that can be tricky to maneuver. Faulkwood Shores Golf Club requires accuracy but it's not overly punishing if you're slightly errant.

Really nice course and well maintained. Great value for the money. Will come back again for another hot deal.
Faulkwood Shores
Long course with 6600 from the whites. Fair challenge except for couple steep greens with impossible hole placements. Inexpensive. Nice owner.
Great value
Always a great value to play here. Its look might not impress you (especially in the summer when things dry out), and the strange smell on the front 9 can sneak up on you, but it's a fun course. Especially for the low price, it's very much worth it. Relaxing, casual course. Tough greens, but fairways are fairly easy to hit.
Value
Good value for the course- $25 on golf now for sun morning. Course is hard and dry unless on fairway or green and greens are little beat up
Good track & friendly staff
Played at a good pace despite being behind a golf outing... Staff friendly and accommodating. Worth the trip to come check out this course.

Had a great round.
18 holes in 3.5 hours was great.
That made it all worth while not waiting all the time.

Played this course on a Saturday. Pace of play was a little slow, but the course was in great shape. Fun challenges, but nothing overbearing
Faulkwood Shores
This course was a great value for your money, although the pace of play was slow (I had a foursome Learning how to play with two small children). Once I was allowed to play thru the pace improved. The first 9!holes were open which allowed for errant shots. The back total different animal it was in good shape well kept and the staff was very friendly. I would recommend it as a must play, I would play it again.
Overbooked
Have played this course numerous times. The course was way overbooked. Large groups allowed to purchase single tee times causing terrible backup.
Unusuallly slow play
I like the course, but bar must have had a 2-for-1 on beer! There were lots of crazys on the course with no golf smarts.
Could be better.
Very slow pace. No Marshall to help keep pace up. Cart paths are in bad shape as well as the carts. There at about four greens that you cannot stop your ball. The slope on them is on the verge of illegal. You can get a better value at other courses in the area.
Time tested FUN course
This was the first golf course I ever played over 20 years ago. I was pleased to find the association with the GolfNow Go Play payment and reservation system. The memories of past rounds came back and the course is just as remembered, with its, long play and pleasant staff and grounds ! Would like to see the bunks with more sand, ground very hard in bunker bottoms.
Great value
This is one of those great courses that been around for a long time. Maintenance and upkeep were evident everywhere and the course is just fun to play. Played on a Monday morning and pace of play was phenomenal got done with 18 in just over two hours amazing

I loved the landscape
In a whole picture, the course was quite and not very crowded, challenging due to the trees on the course as well as by the foliage, which is normal for this season. Staff were excellent and it was not my last time to play this course
Sadistic Hole placements,
The start of play was slow but opened up after the 3rd hole. Hole 4 has a lake on one side and a large tree near the green, which slows down play. Hole 7 has a green that is sloped from the back to the front at about a 30 degree angle. With the pin placement in the back part of the green that meets the woods within 15 feet. Again slowing down the speed of play. If you want returning players, don't make them wait, ease up on the pin placements and speed up play. I can see making things much more difficult during tournament play. Other than a few holes, everything went smooth. A nice course for our discounted price. They should be commended on the overall condition of the fairways and greens.
