About
Faulkwood Shores Golf Club first opened in 1971, exactly a century after the historic farmhouse that serves as the clubhouse was built. Located in Howell, it's considered one of southeastern Michigan's best values. The golf course has a traditional layout that is player friendly enough for players of all skill levels but there are some challenging hole designs that will appeal to those that are more advanced. Water hazards come into play on eight holes throughout the golf course, including a stream that runs alongside the first hole. The fairways are tight and the greens are fast and well guarded by bunkers. There are also a few subtle undulations that can be tricky to maneuver. Faulkwood Shores Golf Club requires accuracy but it's not overly punishing if you're slightly errant.

Nice, But SLOW!
Nice course some fun holes, but all of the times I have played this course it seems that each time I play the pace is ridiculously slow. We had a group of three and stood over our ball way too often waiting for the next shot due to groups ahead of us. Too many twosomes allowed to go out without getting paired together. No ranger to keep pace moving. Granted it was a busy day, but with better course management play and pace could have been better.
Nice day
I was frist one out and it is my frist full season out golfing and I'm improving more and more and this is a tough coarse to play but it help u get better shot a 96 on 18 with a friend on the back 9 to finish up I love playing here.
Fun course to play
Course was in great shape and not very crowded during the week. Greens were in good shape and putted well. A few blind shots or areas that you need to check your GPS to avoid hitting into trouble. Great value for your money.

Great value, challenging course.
Well maintained, with nice greens and plenty of length. Trees, water and heather can come into play on multiple holes. The “Hot Deal” pricing is an excellent value.
Much improved
Discourse used to frustrate me only because of the pace of play. The price is pretty low especially during the summer and a lot of the tee boxes used to be stacked 5 deep or more. This year though they seem to have been able to manage it much better and the course conditions are really good. The staff there certainly makes this place a much better experience and I would love to keep coming back. I have a membership at another course in Northville but this course it's pretty much in my backyard so when my buddy can't play golf during the week for 2 days I like to come here. next year I'll definitely consider getting a membership here instead even though I like my current course.
Improved
Nice to see some improvements to make the course more playable to long hitters. Front desk was a let down as they were more interested in their own discussion than assisting me. All in all Faulkwood is stepping it up
Water golf
Course was extremely wet and unplayable in some areas. Hole Yardage from red tees way off by as much as 50 yards on quiet a few and they Don't correspond with scorecards.

Everything was good, but don’t get behind the women league, they were soooooooooooooooooooooooooo slow
front/back 9's are differentt
Didn't notice any force carries of any length
Front 9 slightly hilly with some water in play
Back 9 pretty flat-minimal water
Nice tee choices
Greens were nice/receptive and still pretty quick
Hit ball straight and you'll score-large trees throughout.
Faulkwood bargain
Nice bargain but course off the fairways was in rough shape thruout
Stinky
Half the course is decent. The other half smells pretty bad.
Value
Solid course, plays long. Course fairways grass cut very short, tee boxes not level, greens had not been cut. Good value, with friendly staff.
No respect for the game of golf
They send people out every 5 minutes on a Saturday, and the course is beyond backed up. There was a group of 5 people playing in front of us and we had to call the ranger twice to come take care of it. They continued to allow the group to play with 5 after telling us they would never allow that. We waited up to 15 minutes at a tee box. Talk about getting cold. Will never return here. Should have never driven 45 minutes to play this course. Big regret.
