Wide open
Wide open fairways. The greens are a little slow maybe they needed to be cut on the day on the day we played. Overall a very pretty courses.
more than worth the money, nice course, challenging but manageable
Great course for the money, been golfing there for years and the course has always been in great shape
Great course with a mom and pop feel.
This course is a little slice of heaven located about an hour north of Detroit. At first glance, it appears to be a cut out farm field, but you soon realize that this place has an up north feel. The front nine was typical of a south Michigan course, however, the back nine left you feeling well north. Starting with a par five and ending in a par three, this course plays well for the novice golfer and is very suitable for the twice a year adventurist. Very friendly staff and full amenities in the club house. I will return soon.
Great Value and great staff.
Have been playing this course regularly this summer. It is challenging enough for my husband who plays very well and also open enough for me to enjoy him teaching me the game. Well maintained with friendly staff.
Overall a good course, some issues during our visit
This was my second time visiting the course. The online booking didn't process through. It took 5 minutes or so to sort it out in the club house. Luckily I had proof of booking and paying online. They actually had a large group ready to go out and placed us in front of them. So we had a group behind us pushing us the whole course.
The course itself was okay, most fairways are in decent shape. It rained hard the day before and some fairways were almost muddy in some spots. One spot I stepped on grass in front of the green and muddy water bubbled up around me. Most of the greens were in poor shape. The ground crew was busy working cutting grass on many holes. When I had goofed up a shot and went off track you really felt like the ground crew didn't want you to hit and just pick up the ball! I understand they had things to get done, but with keeping pace with a three sum behind us in the large group and waiting to do a shot, it wasn't as enjoyable as my first visit.
Overall the experience was okay and the course does have some fun challenging holes that even a experienced golfer would enjoy. I highly recommend calling before you go if you book online and ensure they have you on the books!
Course has a little bit of everything.
The course is worth the money, if you like a course with very few bunkers this is the place.
Gem in the Farm area
Challenging course, it has blind tee shots, dog leg rights and lefts, very tough 435 yard par 4, well placed par 3's.. If you can shape your shots it can be a lot of fun, otherwise shot placement is at a premium
This was a super nice course for the amount of money.
I can't wait to the course opens again next year it was great!
Poor Course and Staff
Tee Boxes looked like they had not been mowed in months. Fairways were longer then some of the rough. Staff in Pro Shop were very rude. Wouldn't recommend to anyone. Will never be returning to this course again.
No a bad course - not too tough
Tee boxes were'nt in the best of shape. Deer cause problems in the fall grubbing on the course. Inexpensive and worth the $13 we paid.
Rough diamond
This course is better than you may think. The conditioning is fair to good. The greens are mown a little longer than other places to ease requirements, so they can be grainy, which is good or bad, depending on your tastes. There is a nice variety to the holes, but there are virtually no bunkers. Pace of play can be great. Price cannot be beaten
