Always a great experience here. Very nice staff, course in excellent condition. Love the atmosphere of the whole place. Recommend to anyone!

Haven't played the course since August of 1992. Looks much better with trees having grown along with what looks to be a lot more landscaping performed than I remember from before. Greens are huge - but tough. Never got used to them and ended up with 40 putts on a score of 85. No gimmes on these greens. Need to come back and take another crack at it. Played great tee to green until the last three holes when it got slow for the first time all day. Sad thing is it was a twosome that took forever to take a shot - and it was worse when they finally made it to the greens. Oblivious to the fact they were more than a hole behind the twosome in front of them - who played through them at the turn.

Great course, was beautiful! Most tee box views were really nice. So quiet, very spacious, never had any balls land near us or had concerns of getting hit. I will be playing here often. We teed off at around 9:30 am and avoided a lot of the heat. Had no back ups in pace of play. Best course I have been to in the area (traveled in from Oak Park) and worth the drive. The greens, best greens in metro! And all that for $70.... so worth it. Book it!

It was my first time playing Salem Hills. It’s pretty far from my house at almost 40 mins. That said the layout is good and fair. I joined a husband and wife couple and another single to round out our foursome. Other reviews said super slow round but it rained during our front nine so maybe it scared people away. Our foursome was able to play in 3 hrs and 45 mins. There was a twosome 2 holes behind us and they never caught us. It was great despite the rain. The couple was a delight to play with as well as the single player who was a relatively beginner golfer. The best part was the Hot Deal! 😊. Based on my experience I would recommend.

other then an issue with their online booking...I booked for 3:28 and they didn't have me till 3:52 round was good. Thankfully I didn't have any plans after that would have made that mistake more costly. Typical bottleneck holes at #3 and #11.

One of my favorite courses in the area. Love the layout. Always in great shape.

Slow play. just over 5 hour round. maybe worth 50 bucks and not the 70 i paid. definitely better condition than the last time i played it but not worth 70.
