Myth Golf & Banquet - Regulation Course

About
The Myth Golf & Banquet, formerly known as Beaver Creek, tumbles across rolling hills. Situated next to Lake Orion, the golf course sits on protected land that is home to an abundance of wildlife, including sandhill cranes. There is both an 18-hole championship course and a nine-hole par-3 course. In 2007, when the Myth was established, several improvements were made to the championship layout, improving its conditions and making it more challenging. The scenic golf course features boardwalk cart paths that cut through beautiful pine forests. Don't get too distracted by the scenery though because there is plenty to keep you busy including multi-tiered greens and water hazards on almost every hole. The 13th is the golf course's signature hole. This par 3 plays from an elevated tee over water to a generous green, offering a great opportunity for a birdie.

To be able to play any course in late November in Michigan is unusual. Fairways and greens not too bad. Tee boxes were pretty bad. Not unexpected. The little myth looked pretty good.
Awesome day
I played with two girls. They had a great time. the course was very playable for them except for a few frustrating holes which is supposed to happen. We had no problems with leaves due to good maintenance. Take your time on this course and play it correctly and you will find it is very enjoyable and challenging at the same time. If a dirty tee box ruins your game it’s probably not the tee box’s fault. Golf Rules!!
Okay at best
Worst tee boxes I’ve ever played on. Half of the holes are sloped. A lot do the rough is rock hard dirt, it’s like hitting off of cement. Thought about 2 stars at most but ended up with 1. Staff was nice and friendly though
Worst Golf Experience
The old saying is true, "you get what you prepay for." Trying to celebrate women's golf day so i bought a 9 hole prepaid round for $20 includes cart. Those were the worst 9 holes I've ever played. The condition of the tee boxes, cart paths, fairways and greens where terrible. Unable to uplaod video and photos.
Just An Average Course
My friend and I booked this course last minute for $40 and we both agreed that we wouldn’t come back. It’s not a horrible course, but there are so many other options we like better. A few issues:
- The cart paths are either non existent or super old/wobbly. There are a lot of bridges that are ok horrible condition and the steps to the tee boxes are in awful shape.
- The holes are far too close to each other. It’s super easy to hit your ball onto another hole and the greens sometimes are super close together. However, I did love the 10th hole Par 3. Very cool hole
- Tee boxes... they are god awful. Zero excuse to have them be in such bad shape. A lot of them have almost no grass and most are not flat
Awesome staff!!
The Myth GC will present a challenging round (in a positive way) from the tee boxes to the greens. Overall, the course was in very good condition with the exception of a couple tee boxes.
The staff at The Myth is incredible! I have a minimum of 4 golf courses that are closer to my house but don’t mind the extra drive because they treat me so well. I would like to thank Matt, Lauren and Drake for providing such a great golfing experience this year.

The tee boxes were horrible, played the PAR 3 course and not well maintained at all. It was just a step above miniature golf, maybe
