About
The Myth Golf & Banquet, formerly known as Beaver Creek, tumbles across rolling hills. Situated next to Lake Orion, the golf course sits on protected land that is home to an abundance of wildlife, including sandhill cranes. There is both an 18-hole championship course and a nine-hole par-3 course. In 2007, when the Myth was established, several improvements were made to the championship layout, improving its conditions and making it more challenging. The scenic golf course features boardwalk cart paths that cut through beautiful pine forests. Don't get too distracted by the scenery though because there is plenty to keep you busy including multi-tiered greens and water hazards on almost every hole. The 13th is the golf course's signature hole. This par 3 plays from an elevated tee over water to a generous green, offering a great opportunity for a birdie.

Quite a surprise
Buying this as a hot deal and not expecting much. The course was quite challenging and very well maintained.
The course is in very good condition with many improvements to the cart paths and taking out the steps on #5. The owners are doing a great job. The green on #6 is impossible if you get above the hole but could probably be leveled out some to make it more playable. The traps are in better condition than most in Oakland County that I have seen this year. Thanks.

great bang for the buck

Very disappointing...
This course is bad....period. Right from the tee boxes to the putting greens, everything needs repair. Add to it the swarm of insects and mosquitoes at this course. The course has such an interesting layout but is just not maintained. I would not recommend this course in its current conditions.
Poor course management
Hour and a half for less than 5 holes. Very disappointing experience. Had to enjoy the game when you spend more time waiting between shots and worried about being hit.

This course over books every time
I’ve played this course a couple times now. It really has great potential. The staff was friendly and I love that they make it easy to get something to eat at the then. However, they over book the course. It’s not really enjoyable when you have to wait 20 minutes on every hole to tee off. I wish they would manage pace of play better. For that reason I will never golf at this course again.

1st Time @ Course
Overall, this course was beautiful and enjoyable! Course was challenging, but fun to navigate. All of staff was very helpful and friendly, except for the young blonde girl at the front desk, who made me want to leave before I even teed off. Her attitude both in person and over the phone we’re shocking and disgraceful. I sincerely hope her actions were corrected as the front desk role creates the 1st (and too often last) impression for the course. So glad I stayed to play anyway, because the course and other staff members held up their reputation and did not disappoint!!
Extremely Slow
Booked 18 but could only play 9 due to the course being so full. There were four groups ahead of us just waiting to tee off at the turn.

Condition of course was good overall
Overall condistions were good, greens were excellent but tricky. Tee boxes were not good.
Driver's Licence Number needed?
The course asked to write down the name, phone number, and driver's license number in order to use the cart and play golf on the course. You can see all other customers' information as well on the paper. I asked how they safely discard all those information on the paper. The staff said they don't know. No No... identity theft issues are everywhere yet they collect all those information without any safe dealing with customers' information. I will never go to the course.
