Golden Hawk Golf Club
About
Golden Hawk Golf Club is an 18-hole course in Casco Township, which is just south of Richmond. You won't find too many elevation changes throughout the course but you will encounter plenty of water. There are also 36 bunkers coming into play on 12 holes. The course isn't particularly long at 6,117 yards from the back tees, but the par 4s offers some good length and the ample room off the fairways gives the course a spacious feel. The fairways are generous and quite forgiving, but golfers will face tough approaches to the greens, which are often nestled into the woods or bordered by ponds. The slightly elevated, undulating putting surfaces require accuracy. Golden Hawk Golf Club is a fair test but it's player friendly enough for high handicappers to approach with confidence.

Beautiful course to play. Greens a bit rough.
There were many different scenic views that you can enjoy while playing this course. The high voltage power lines were quite distracting, but only on the front nine. The fairways and bunkers were in great shape. The greens were well-worn. The restaurant has some excellent gourmet offerings.
course was well maintained
pace of play was very good until we reached the 7 hole, where I was near the club house so we used the restroom had a hotdog and beer and was still waiting to tee off on no.8. the ranger found the issue but it then took awhile to smooh the pace
Relatively short but challenging
Fairly short course but plays pretty tight. You can get loose on only a few holes without penalty. For the most part though, you need to drive it straight to score well. Greens were in good shape and even though there was quite a few people on the course, the play seemed to move along. Nice club house and great course to play for the money.
Can't wait to go back
We had a 12:53 tee time but were able to go off #1 about 12:20. It was a very hot muggy Saturday and there was no one ahead of us on the front.
I was impressed with the conditioning and the green speed. Playing on a Fire Sale rate made this especially nice. Since I was coming off a 16 day layoff due to a back sprain, I tentatively planned to play just nine holes. I also had new irons in the bag which I had not played before.
I started with two PARS, nearly chipping in from 12 feet for a birdie on #1. Finished with 3 PARS and one bogey on the four holes of the back we played. Neither my GF or I were in mid Summer playing shape so we called it a day. We can't wait to come back. The course has plenty of room to use your driver, even if you're not a low digit player. Greens are true. I was suitably challenged on some long Par 4s, as I chose the blue (back) tee.
short but full of hazards and challenges
,well kept and layout keeps premium on club selection
Beautiful Course
This course is absolutely beautiful. It isn't the most difficult course I have played, but it is definitely worth playing. I will definitely play again.
Great value to play this course for 16.99
I've paid more several times to play this course. Great round today, mainly because it was pretty uncrowded so pace was very fast. Back 9 there was nobody. Started at 1:15 and finished before 4.
Greens were cut and were pretty fast. Course was well kept. The home made Italian sausage in the clubhouse was excellent and certainly substantial.
Employees are all pleasant and accommodating.
Using Golfnow was a great deal and playing on a Saturday afternoon fit my schedule perfectly.
golden hawk golf course
the course was in good shape . the cart paths were bumpy , they need to be grated .
to bad its so far from my home
What a surprise.Very nice course and with the Golf Now.com price it even made it more fun.Very forgiving and well kept.
Great staff and scenic
For the price of this course, using GolfNow.com, it was honestly a steal... STAFF: I arrived early for my tee time and hit a few range balls. The starter, very kindly, mentioned I should tee off in front of their outing they had. The whole time playing the course, he would check in with me and was extremely cordial! COURSE: The layout was forgiving on the front, but a tad more challenging on the back and it definitely made me try every club in my bag. The clubhouse was very nice and the overall pace of play was under 3.5 hours (Saturday) AND I was behind 2 scramble groups. I will DEFINITELY be back here again!! A+++ Thank you!
Great Value
Played this course yesterday for the first time and it will not be the last great course lots of variety and very fair for all golfers super friendly staff 10 out of 10 for me
Great Value
Plenty of tees to pick from to make course play to your level...great value for the money.
One of my favorites!
Front 9 is slightly more challenging. Fun course to play!
greta course, great price
The course is well maintained and the staff is friendly and courteous. Not usually over booked so pace of play is generally good. Not waiting on every tee for the most part. One of our favorites and the price is fair when booked through GolfNow. I love the 18th hole. Nice finisher.
Golden Hawk
This course isnt the hardest course, but it does offer some challenging holes for the intermediate golfer. We golf here frequently because the course is always well maintained and the staff is very friendly as well. Overall I would say this is a great course for the money, similar to Romeo, but a little more challenging!
Golden Hawk golf course
The Golden hawk course is one of the best, well maintained ,well marked, the fairways and greens are rated right up there with the best, traps are always well groomed, and the staff couldn't be more friendly .Great course to play.Great price.
Every hole is different.
Always have enjoyed playing here since it opened. Every hole is different and it is women friendly.
Only three par fives
Club selection is a premium for shorter holes with small landing areas.
