About
Timber Trace Golf Club sprawls across the rolling countryside that surrounds Lake Wallaby in lower Michigan. The location seems rather remote, giving the course an isolated feel, but the round is well worth the trip. The layout is routed through tall pines and the fairways effortlessly flow across the gently rolling hills. The wooded terrain is one of the course's major draws. Golfers from as far as the metro Detroit area come to enjoy this scenic round. The layout has an interesting mix of holes that offer plenty of variety. There are some tricky spots but you won't come across any carries over wetlands or ponds. Golfers will face long and challenging back-to-back par 5s starting with the 15th. This duo has the potential to ruin your score.

Great track!
You won't be disappointed... I've enjoyed every round played at Timber Trace!
Excellent course for the money. Great fairway conditions with beautifully managed woods arounds the course.
Not so good
Course condition is substandard, hole design is adequate, course layout is awful.
Highly recommend!!
This is a beautiful course and the staff are the friendliest group. They are happy to take care of your needs.
Timber Course conditions
The fairways and tee boxes were in terrible shape. They have also let all areas in and around the bunkers go, tons of rocks in bunkers and surrounded by tall weeds.
I would not recommend this course for the price they are charging. $50 on weekend
Greens were ok but rest of the course was less than average condition
Worth the drive
Super shape from tee to green. The course is layed out beautifully.

The course & golf now
Great course I love the round! I also loved the efficiency of my golf now representative my partner was terribly sick the morning of the round & could not play both the Rep of the course & golf now worked to refund me the price of my partners round it was accomplished by phone while I was on course! Amazing love my VIP golf now memberservices!

Good Layout
Nice course with a bit of an up north feel. Some construction going on creating one temporary green. Definitely worth playing especially at price we paid on GolfNow.

Good times
Course in good shape for early season. Limited parking due to construction (done by end of April) which impacts only 2 holes. Tough but fair and beautiful course.

Nice Course
Played early in the year and course was in nice shape for the 1st weekend in April. Some long rides between holes but not a problem that I could see. Anxious to play again when the weather is better and the course has had a chance to get more summer like conditions!

Timber Trace is a scenic course with nice elevation changes and little intrusion on the course by homes.
Choose your tees carefully, the doglegs may have you hitting through the fairways or not long enough to clear the hazards.
Course conditions are usually great ! Large teeing areas, nicely manicured large greens.
As with most daily-play courses in Michigan the sand traps are not groomed to the conditions we once expected.
If you hit a low ball, you will find about half of the greens protected by sand traps in front. You may be able to run your shot up on the edge of the green, but it might not be in the section of the green where the pin is located.
The sandy base of the course drains water rapidly, making it a great course to hit after a shower or storm and still have reasonably dry lies.
The course is always a test for me, and one I love to play.
