Rush Lake Hills
About
Rush Lake Hills Golf Club in Pinckney stretches across gently rolling hills that are sprinkled with mature trees. Opened in 1961, the course has a classic design with wide fairways. With the exception of two holes that were rebuilt in the mid 1990s, the golf course has retained its original design. The front nine is wide-open and provides a spacious feel. The back nine is a bit tighter and while it may be shorter, it's also hillier. The undulating terrain is perfectly complemented by the strategic placement of the bunkers. The course offers a fair amount of challenging holes but it won't overwhelm high handicappers and its manageable 6,237-yard length is also ideal for beginners. It's not a formidable test, but Rush Lake Hills Golf Club is a great option for a quick affordable round.

Rush lake
Course was in good shape for the time of year. Staff was excellent, told us that we could stay out on course until he closed.
A nice Sunday afternoon
Played this course with my daughter who is just starting golf. This course is nice challenge for the avg. golfer. I thought the greens were in excellent shape.
Shhh
Great price for challenging course in nice condition
Mansfield
Course in great shape, challenging greens. Quiet, no rush at Rush Lake.
Bad staff but good course
The guy at the counter needs to loosen up a bit. It's not Pine Hurst so get over it. People golf here to have fun. The course was in great shape considering the dry weather this year. I look forward to golfing this course again.
Good Value
I've only played the front nine and found it to be challenging enough for my partner who has played for years without being too difficult/frustrating for me as a novice. Using GolfNow Hot Deals makes playing only 9 holes (our preference) possible!
SO MUCH POTENTIAL
The front 9 is wide open and fairly flat...the back 9 is the opposite..narrower and much more hilly. There are a number of blind shots on the back. The overall conditons a bit less than than one would hope for, The fairways and rough are a bit weedy with not much difference between the two.Greens were nice and challenging to putt,,,quite a few were a bit like a "turtleback" in shape and a guy in the clubhouse said try and stay below the hole and those words were spot on as some greens one could not stop the ball anywhere near the hole due to the slope.I believe a hospital owns this property and uses some of the revenue to help their research efforts.I am sure the conditions are a result of minimum effort since my opinion would be that less weeds and differing grass heights would necessitate more time and attention...(ie. money) so that would detract from the funds going to research..So with a golfnow price the course is a good value,,just don't set your expectations to high
Easy
Basic course, right for it's price
Great pace of play!!
Good comfortable round of golf and friendly staff. Played 18 holes with threesome at 3 hours and 40 minutes.
The hills are challenging
This is the second time golfing here. We played on a Sunday afternoon so you have to expect it to be a little slower. Nonetheless, the course was in great shape and staff was pleasant. Will definitely golf here again.
Great value
Great value and extremely friendly staff. Course conditions were much better this year.
never again
I thought it was a good deal for $19 but i found out fast that it wasn't the course is just all rough there is no fair way and needs to be cut and the greens are just overgrown and slow if they took better care of it it would be a beautiful place ti play
Wow!! What a trash bin.
Terrible conditions abound for this course! Fairways are hard to distinguish from the rough, and full of crabgrass and other weeds! Tee boxes and greens were also shaggy! Staff was very unfriendly, and the clubhouse was in need of a makeover. If you don't golf in blue jeans and a tee shirt, or you have a full set of teeth, you most likely won't fit in as a member. Charged me $34 for this piece of garbage course, I would suggest you find a place were the staff takes pride in their course. On the bright side, the beer was cheap, and the hot dog wasn't bad.
Rush Lake
