About
Brae Burn Golf Club in Plymouth has a traditional layout with a landscape that ranges from gently rolling to wildly undulating. On most holes, elevated tees play to elevated greens. The large, undulating greens usually slope back to front. Golfers will encounter water on 15 holes and the fairways are lined with mature trees. The bunkering is sparse but strategically placed and there are also rough-enhanced moguls protecting the greens, a unique feature at Brae Burn. One tip if it is your first time on the golf course is to study the course diagram beforehand since there are many hidden ponds that come into play on the fairways and greensides. The course's most famous hole is the par-5 13th, nicknamed "The Monster" since it measures a devilish 666 yards. This tricky hole double doglegs to the left and then back towards the right.

Golfer Reviews
Great Place to Play
Well maintained challenging course. Staff is great and the pace of play on most days is excellent.
always fun
great place for a nice round of golf greens are challenging
Home of the Monster
Brae Burn has a nice layout with Very challenging greens. Brett does a great job running the course and Denise is great at the grill. Tom Thumb is the best ranger in Michigan.
Nice- old school course
Convenient to where I live, greens are well taken care of for sure, some surprises and overall a nice place to play. Carts might need an upgrade some day soon . :)
first time
Played this course with a buddy on the 4th of July. Called many courses looking for a tee time 3 weeks in advance, was the only course to let me schedule and said I could pick any time all day that I wanted to play. Staff was friendly, course was in good shape for the weather (hot and dry) which meant hard ground and fast greens. Some holes were more challenging than others, but the layout was nice. Good course for any ability. Was nice to get out and play and will definitely be back to play again.
Tough track
This course can play tough, it has some very long holes and even some of the shorter hole are very difficult. The course was in good condition when we played it and the greens always seem to play fast, I'm not a great putter but these greens can humble the best putter quick.
Love old courses
Shorter course with interesting changes in elevation. Like leaving driver in bag for a most of a round and shot shaping. I enjoyed the change of pace from longer driver dominated courses.
nice course for a change
I have played this course several times over the years and have never had a bad experience. You must play most of the holes smart ( the monster in particular). I will play this course again.
True test of golf.
I've played Brae Burn many times over the past twenty years and always found it challenging and enjoyable. Some greens and tee boxes were being aerated, sanded and brushed. Wish I would have known that ahead of time. Probably would have waited until the following week to play.
Excellent value
Excellent value, great pace of play and easy to get a tee time.
Brae Burn
Best kept secret in town. Greens are not fast but roll true. Wife and I played in under 3 hours!
Staff
One of their staff told me that he does' like people who play at Brae Burn with Golf Now voucher.
I play with my family android were frustrated with his comment. Of course, I paid a small amount of money that I suppose to pay because I took a hot deal. The staff had not professional attutude when he faced to customers even though we paid a small amount of money as a green fee compared to normal green fee.
course condition
Golf course was in terrible condition. Not worth the time to play!
A place in the country
I have played in a league at Brae Burn for several years and find the staff to be fine folks. The prepared food, especially the soups are great.
The course is older but not surrounded by homes so the rural atmosphere is very nice.
Solid
The course is in really good shape. Course layout is weird in spots, but no gimmick holes. Love playing 'The Monster', always fun trying to birdie the longest par 5 in Michigan (#13).
