Brae Burn Golf Club
About
Brae Burn Golf Club in Plymouth has a traditional layout with a landscape that ranges from gently rolling to wildly undulating. On most holes, elevated tees play to elevated greens. The large, undulating greens usually slope back to front. Golfers will encounter water on 15 holes and the fairways are lined with mature trees. The bunkering is sparse but strategically placed and there are also rough-enhanced moguls protecting the greens, a unique feature at Brae Burn. One tip if it is your first time on the golf course is to study the course diagram beforehand since there are many hidden ponds that come into play on the fairways and greensides. The course's most famous hole is the par-5 13th, nicknamed "The Monster" since it measures a devilish 666 yards. This tricky hole double doglegs to the left and then back towards the right.

Slow pace of play but nice easy course
Easy course, rather short, not a lot of trouble spots. Greens very sloped and fast. Overall nice course to play if you have 5 hours to do so. The short holes really stack players up as many par 4s were driveable
Only holes 16, 17 & 18 were cut nice.
Horrible course conditions. Grass left on fairways & rough. Diving range was a joke.
Good Course! Great Golfnow Price!
The course is in good shape. Most of the greens are sloped from back to front and are fast, but roll true. Leave your approch shot below the hole if possible. Staff is friendly and you can't bet the Golfnow Hot Deal Price.
Nice course, slow play
This course is actually pretty nice and hilly, with wide fairways but challenging greens. Would have given a higher rating but it took 5 hours to play 18 (2 of us) and part of the reason is because they don't have a ranger to speed up the slowpokes.
Not a flat green on the course - almost sadist...
Lots of up and down, little ball-sucking ponds where you'd least want them. Some fairly narrow fairways, trees requiring straight shots. Did I mention slopes on the greens? Brutal!! But a fun and challenging course which is amazing value for the money.
This course was nice and open
This is a great course for beginners because of how open it is yet the greens will challenge your putting abilities.
This course has some challenging holes
This course has some challenging holes .... Then there's the Monster to look forward to (Brea Burn's signature hole 13). for early spring the course is fairly dry, the fairways mowed and the greens ... well the greens are what they are. Better shape than most. Fun to play, won't get board.
Good test of yours golf skills.
Fall Season. Be patient. Bring extra balls and stay in the short grass.
This Course has monster par 5 hole
dining area, which is perfect for meal before or after round.
COURSE NICELY LAID OUT-REQUIRES LOTS OF WEDGE SHOTS
BRAE BURN HAS BEEN A LOCAL FAVORITE. THE COST IS VERY REASONABLE, THE CONDITION IS ALMOST ALWAYS GOOD TO EXCELLENT AND THE STAFF MAKES YOU FEEL WELCOME.
Looks like it was a very nice course at one time
At one time it looks like it was a very nice course with all the hills and elevation changes. But it looks like over time they have cut the maintenance back. The course seems to lack maintenance. You can tell that the hot summer took it's toll on the course. Other courses seemed to have recovered from the hot dry summer Brae Burn still has lots of brown spots or spots of dead grass.
Good value
Fairways are hard. Ball rolled a ton. Helped my score. Greens were aerated but not with huge holes like on some courses.
