Bruce Hills Golf Club
About
Bruce Hills Golf Course is located in the north metro Detroit area near Romeo. Mature trees are scattered throughout the course, providing shade and a peacefully secluded feel. The par-70 layout is relatively short at only 5,630 yards form the back tees, making it an ideal round for beginners but it still provides good practice and a quick round for more advanced players. The golf course sprawls across a diverse terrain that allows for downhill and uphill approaches to the small, round greens, which are often sloped from back to front. Keeping the ball below the hole is the key to scoring well on this golf course. Bruce Hills' player-friendly layout only has four bunkers but water comes into play on 12 holes, providing the bulk of the course's challenges.

Good day of golf
Pace of play was great just over 3 hours. The course was in good shape, there were some spots that needed work. Had 3 birdies and one eagle
50/50
The pace was great, played 18 in 2.5 hours. Back 9 was in good shape. Front 9 however, was atrocious. There were massive craters everywhere and the course was so hard and dry it was almost unplayable. A good shot would often hit a crater and kick hard left or right into a hazard. The ball would also not stick anywhere so a good shot that would normally be just off the fairway or on the green would bounce and keep rolling until it found trouble. If you decide to play here, only play 9 and make sure it’s the back.
Great course, terrible pace of play
Ive been to this course many times and usually always have a great time. Came for an evening round, and only played 9 holes after 3 hours. Ended up running out of daylight and missing out on a great back 9.
Great course!
For the money, this is a steal! I didn't lose a single ball in the rough. The grounds are that well taken care of. It's definitely one of my favorite courses now. I'll definitely be back!
Bruce Hills is a Bargain
Played today (6/8/22). The course has its limitations, but I’ve never seen it in such good shape. Greens were consistent, fairways were in too shape, even the sand was raked and fluffed.
Played 18 with a cart for $20 and really enjoyed it. Get out there.
First and last time
It was my first time going to this course and I hate to say it, but it will be the last time. Kids running the the pro shop and had no idea what was going on. No starter on the course, no rangers to break up a 6 person group and a group of 5 in front of us. We had 3-4 groups waiting on every hole. It took us 4.5 hours to play 9 holes.
Fairways
Fairways were rough and patchy. No 150 or 100 yard markers were visible until you found the in ground gam. Rough was too deep.
Ranger needed
We didn't see any rangers on the course.
One time 6-7 carts were on one of holes. We were waiting for long time.
Course was good . They just need to watch out for super slower players.
