Cheap course, lots of hacks, no memorable holes
One of the cheaper courses in the area, so that will attract a lot of hacks, which we saw all over the course. Felt like every hole there was a ball going into the trees from another group. We went on a weekday afternoon but were still backed up a few groups before we teed off and were waiting on most holes. It was over 4 hours for 18.
Parking lot is long and narrow and carts are not allowed in the lot, so expect a decently long walk to/from the clubhouse to your car. Clubhouse is a barn used for weddings, not meant for dining or drinking after the rounds.
Conditions were alright, gas carts were awesome, traveled much faster and didn't have restrictions like the electric GPS carts, although one group tried driving through mud and got the cart stuck.
Greens were fast, #17 had the best view, hitting into the barn/clubhouse from an elevated tee on #9 was kind of cool, but outside of that there's nothing that special. Flat rural farm course with some doglegs that make you hit iron off the tee. Bunkers did not have a lot of sand in them, and there were only a few holes where water came into play. Front side is only a par 34, no slope listed on the scorecards, felt like 70.0/126 from the blues.
Play it if you get a deal, but don't go out of your way to drive and play here.
Rolling Meadows
Weather and course conditions are excellent, but too many unskilled aged people took so much time that each time, we had to stop and wait - this made us so frustrated and time consuming.
It may be a good idea to make a rule for the holding time each hall or filter out the players under 110 over. I wouldn't play if the waiting times are so long like this.
Not worth a penny
Worst pace of play I’ve experienced this year at a local course. Course is not interesting and tee times are rushed to be every 5 minutes.
Rolling Meadows
Course layout is good and want to come back shortly with my friends. Some par 3 halls are challengeable
Good for everyone
Driving range is just beside so good
And I cooked Ramen at the table to warm my body and comfortable to drink beer.
Ideal place to check your swing and rhythms
The only problem is dust in entrance and parking
Comfort
Nice and easy but the green was very strangely tilted
Course was in excellent condition. Greens rolled very well
Good course
Course was in good condition when we played this past weekend. Greens didn't look as good as I have seen them in the past, but were very smooth and easily put table. Greens were pretty quick for the most part, downhill putts were tricky with the speed. A bit hard to hold shorter pitches to the greens. But still a good golf course that is fun to play, plenty long enough and has more than enough challenge in it.
Will be back again sometime this summer.
Fours hours for 18 is a great time!
