Never again!
The pace of pay was horrible on the front 9, we were at the tee box with the group in front of us on every single hole! They had to hit 3 times every time before we could even tee off. We never once saw a ranger. We stopped at the clubhouse went to restroom, grabbed a hotdog and drinks and proceeded to the 10th hole. There was a theeaome teeing off, we had to wait approximately 10 minutes before we could hit. On the 11th hole the ranger showed up and told us we needed to step up the pace of play.. mind you no one was behind us waiting. He claimed we were 4 holes behind. We asked where he was on the font none that took us 3 hours to play.. he was extremely rude and clapped and said I hope you never come back. We proceeded to complete the round.. not a single group behind had to wait on us.. we completed that round 1.hour 45 minutes.. oh and the ranger said no more than 8 minutes per hole for a foresome.. this place is really become a joke. We kept place, this use to be one of our favorites but will NEVER return I’ve never been treated so rudely!
$10 rip off to get into park
Its been a few years sunce i played this course. It is a Metropark course and very attractive and well maintained. Only criticism is that even though youve paid for your round you get hit for $10 to get into the park. This should be part of the advert - its deceptive. PreCovid they would give you a credit at the pro shop. Post Covid they dont. Yet another example of government using Civid to rip off the little guy.
This was my first time going here. They paired with me two other people when I got there so I cancelled. Still waiting for my refund they said would be issued in 3 business days
I would like to know ahead of time of being paired up. Especially when it’s a Thursday at 230pm and course wasn’t busy
Great Value
GN Hot Deal well worth the rate ($42 - 18 w/ cart). Course was in very condition. No bev cart, but prices in clubhouse were very reasonable - not gouged like most courses. Lay-out is fair and allows some forgiveness. Recommend.
Rangers?
This is a very cool course with lots of elevation changes. The course is interesting and the greens are fast. Something that wasn't fast was the pace of play. Our tee time was 3:30pm and we walked off the course at 8:45pm. I think there are multiple reasons for this. 1. There were walking groups allowed between groups on carts. In my experience, carts are the norm on a busy Sunday which helps with pace of play. 2. The walking group in front of me was made of up players between the ages of 14 and 18 by my estimation. This group looked to have minimum skills which lead them to hit multiple balls on each shot. This could have been mitigated if the course had a ranger to help with limiting this issue. 3. I would recommend that the course consider restricting walking golfers during peak hours on a Sunday.
