Innsbrook Resort Golf Course & Clubhouse
About
Although it is located just west of St. Louis, Innsbrook Resort feels much more secluded with its sprawling landscape of rolling hills covered with towering trees and more than 100 lakes. The golf course's scenic and carefully preserved landscape has even been certified as an Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary. Carved from the hillsides, the course offers dramatic elevation changes as well as scenic views of the surrounding countryside. Trees line the fairways and there are tricky, uneven lies throughout. Both accuracy and proper club selection will be required. Of the many lakes on the resort's 8,000 acres, 12 come into play on the golf course along with 30 strategically placed bunkers. The course offers a fair amount of challenge but beginners won't feel as though they are out of their league.

MIssouri visit
First time playing this course. ROugh was very thick and lost a few balls less than 20 feet from fairways. Greens were pretty good and rolled nicely. No course GPS or yardage books made it difficult for first-timer to know where you could and could not hit it off the tee. Par 3's all seemed to be downhill. Nice course situated in the woods about 30 minutes from O'Fallon. Lots of water in play. Lots of wildlife on the course in the morning!
A Busy Course
On a nice weather Monday in September the course was busy enough that we waited at each tee box for the group ahead playing their second ball. Ahead of them, there was a group on the green that they were following. Play was slow, nobody was going anywhere fast. Following us another twosome waited for us at each tee box. We finished 18 holes in a little over four hours. Not bad time but as a twosome on a less busy course we usually finish under 3 hours. Fairways were in good shape. The greens looked used, more ball marks than there should be.
Worth the 90min drive.
Tee boxes 9/10 - only because a couple of them were a little uneven in spots.
Fairways 10-10
Rough = rough
Greens 8/10 (for this time of year 10/10)
Great shape
T box’s, fairways and greens in great shape best I’ve seen in some time.
Rough was really long, we have had some heavy rains And that could be the reason, but fairways were well groomed? sorry to say i had reason to walk to much of that rough on a very hot day and the rough was dry and hard but saw no mowers on the course and it was a Monday, so not sure what was going on
Worst thing was not a drop of drinking water on the course with a heat index of 110 the four of us were
Cooked at the end of our round, they were giving bottled water out free of charge at the club house when we checked in, but did not tell us the reason for doing it was so that we might possibly survive the round if we took a bottle with us. Water on the course on a really hot day is a must have !!!!
Great course with great staff
Hadn’t played there in a few years but we had another great experience on a beautiful course. Despite the searing summer heat, the course was in very good shape. The tee boxes, fairways and greens were kept up. The rough was pretty short but baked out as I’m sure they haven’t been watered much!
A great touch was all the free water bottles available as they didn’t have water coolers out. On a steamy day, we drank more than our share! The thing that is enjoyable about the course is the fun mix of easy and difficult holes.
Seems like the course is busier than ever. It was crowded out with groups everywhere but we didn’t have to wait at all. It seems like the greens fees have really gone up recently. They have great daily specials but they go FAST so you have to book those times as soon as you can. However, even at a normal price rate, it is a great and fun course. Plus, the working staff is awesome and gives super friendly service.
Good course but only a good price if you get a hot deal
Good course but only worth the money if you can get on for less than $40. (I am very frugal)
Super friendly staff and beautiful neighborhood.
Fantastic value.
Haven’t played here on a couple years as it’s a long drive for me. It these it’s truly a hidden gem. Tough enough for the expert but kind to the novice or beginner. Greens are just nice enough. A bit slow for good players but perfect for 90% of golfers. It’s quite a good value for the money. I’d pay more to play here again.
Innsbrook
Great fairways and greens, sure wish people would fix their divots properly
Nice but not worth the money
First, let me say that I've been playing Innsbrook for many years and it's always been my favorite. I know they've put a lot of new money into it for the irrigation system, etc. and some work is still ongoing, but ever since Covid their pricing has been out of my range. I'm not interested in paying $70 for a round when I used to pay $25-30 and the course isn't that much different now. Granted, it's in good shape and a little better than it used to be but $70 (up to $85 weekends) is just too much. Sad that I don't get to play there like I used to....
Beautiful course!
The course was beautiful. We had a great time, even in the extreme heat!
Enjoyed the Course
Innsbrook was a fun course to play. The course was in good condition and the staff and amenities are excellent. The weather was ideal except some of the fairways were wet from rain two nights prior so it was cart path only. This slowed up play. Also, as it was a weekday, a number of others on the course were singles or pairs and this slowed up play by us allowing these smaller groups to play through. The driving distance from St. Louis (~1 hour) makes venturing to this course less than ideal, but I did enjoy the course and would play it again in the future.
Follow your own rules
During our round, I think it was on hole12 or 13, we went the wrong way at the fork in the golf path. We had to turn around and in doing so, we drove through the rough for maybe 10 feet. We had 2 sets of people then double back and follow us all the way down the fairway to tell us not to drive in the rough. They were nice enough about it and we're not rude in anyway. However, they both then proceeded to drive through the rough to play the hole ahead of us. Then on the following par 3 we watched 3/4 of them hit the green... None of them fixed their ball marks. I fixed 5-7 ball marks on every hole throughout the day. Most were old but every hole had at least 1 fresh ball marks made by this resident group in front of us. FOLLOW YOUR OWN RULES!!! I HOPE SOMEONE AT THE COURSE READS THIS!
High expectations, low results
I love this course , but today was very upsetting for me. I booked online and pre paid for a 2 person round, costing me over 100 dollars . Checked in and was told that course is behind on maintenance due to equipment failures. Was offered a discount due to the conditions but because I paid in advance no discounts were available. Not a day ruined or any anger expressed, simply asked for a small bucket of range balls and be on my way. Attended asked for five dollars for a small bucket after offering me a 24 dollar discount on rate that I couldn’t get for my pre pay round. Paid my five dollars with no expressions and continued to my cart. I collected my range balls from the golf cart attendant and moved to the range . I dumped out my basket to see that the 18 balls I received 9 were cut by a lawn mower. I still didn’t let this ruin my day. As I proceeded past the closed section of the range, that was prestige and perfect, there was maintenance working. I stood at the top taking practice swing after practice swing hoping they would notice me and let me practice a couple shots. Maintenance continued the process with no regard to the golfer. I gave up and headed back to the cart. As I walked back I noticed my cart had a flat tire on the left rear. Which made me start looking over the whole cart, ripped seats , usb charger inop and no sand in divot repair container. For the fourth time I let this pass “ not gonna ruin my day .” Continued on to the first tee while I was reminded of cart path only due to course conditions. While playing this 6500 yard course, cart path only, I didn’t understand there value of protecting there courses grass and layout if they don’t respect my value in playing it. Finished my round disappointed in my game not due to my athletics but in course management. I have played here before and this is not the first time experiencing this. I will not return and would not recommend anyone playing.
