Golfer Reviews
Great short course as usual
They had just aerated greens so greens were horrible (like putting on sand bunkers but we understand it has to be done. No complaints about course or people what so ever. Some carts even have Bluetooth speakers. Like the course as always just choose wrong time with greens getting aerated that morning or just before
February golf
70 degree day in February and this coures was i very good playing. Greens were firm but rolled true 2nd 9 slowed down with all the par 3,s put who cares when its great weather in.February
Character
Elevation changes and risky shots makes for a fun round.
Teetering rocks
Course is laid out very well with challenging design. Loved the heart shaped green and dinosaur. Will have very colorful foliage views in the fall. Plays very fast with one or two bottlenecks. This is a par 66 course just over 6,000 yards from blue tees.
Slow
Pace of play was pretty slow, the course was extremely short, especially the back 9
unusually different golf course
had forgotten how much I really enjoy this golf course. greens in perfect playing condition. if you hit the green, the ball will probably stay on green. you won't have trouble finding your ball mark. please fix it.
teetering rocks
I like to play Teetering Rocks for a change of pace, a chance to practice the short game and it requires more accuracy than a lot of open courses nearby. The course was in good shape for this time of year when some others are pretty parched.
Not a favorite of mine
I realize this is a family owned course and layout has limitations due to available land. However, many of the holes are definitely blind shots and some are "tricked up" in order to get 18 holes into allocated space. This is a great place for a beginner as it is a short course, but easy to get into trouble if you miss the fairway as mostly narrow... A moderate to low handicapper will not enjoy it. Good for just a few holes if time is an issue. Back 9 more enjoyable than the front side.
Great for the price.
This is a great little short course for those that can't crush the ball like they used to. I really enjoyed it and it's a great value too.
Nice course
Teetering Rocks was a very nice course. It wasn't hard to get to at all. I usually play on the Kansas side but this is worth the extra 5-10 mile drive and the price was perfect.
The heart shaped green and dino statue were unique as well.
I will return!
Fast Fun
Never played here before but for $14 dollars thought I'd give it a try. Played from the blues but still very short. Had many blind shots but was a very fun round. Great place to go to work on your short game. Also for a Saturday to get 18 in, in less the 3 hours is awesome. I will be back.
Short course, but great shape.
Course is short par 66, lots of par 3's on the back 9. This course is great for tuning skills with par 3's but can get burned out on short holes fast. Some holes try to block long hitters from going for the green on par 4's but if you are able to shape shots then it is possible. Heart shape green that is a cliff tee off is fun and something worth going to play, even if it is a short course.
Very nice course for the money
Played a round with two other guys. Really enjoyed the course. My only complaint was a foursome the was playing in front of us really held things up for the first seven holes before they let us play threw. The course was in pretty decent shape. I really enjoyed the layout of the course. It's a a shorter course which was just fine for me. Overall I enjoyed this course and would recommend it to others.
short but narrow
For a short course pretty tough. Pretty decent shape. Better be straight off the tee.
Teetering
My sons and I had not played in a while so it was slower than usual. But we had a good time.
Horrible staff
We called and were told we could golf at 4, so me and three others took off work early to golf. When we arrived at the course the older gentleman told us they had a league and we were misinformed by the guy that works in the morning. He was rude used cuss words and I will never go back and tell everyone how horrible it was. He did nothing to smooth over the situation in a professional manner. I know Taylor the manager I asked if he could have the manager call me, he called me lots bad names in front of other customers, can't believe they employ people like that I've golfed there for 15 years and we will never go back. We all took off work early and wasted our day because there staff didn't know when they had a league.
Teetering Rocks Executive Course
Enjoyed an afternoon round on a day with perfect weather. This executive course is a hidden gem in the Kansas City area. Greens had been recently aerated but rolled true with good pace. Holes on the front 9 are at an average challenge. This course has had to use the layout given to create difficulties. They've used a few tight farways and the houses in the course to create sharp doglegs. The back 9 has a lot of par 3s and would be a great way to practice your short game.
Fun course
I always enjoy playing this course. I especially like the back nine because it allows me to use my irons more and work on my short game.
Surprised
A nice course for a quick round with many tricky little holes and shots. The elevated tees are much fun and the greens were true despite being recently aerated. Blind shots abound and the course was in as good of shape as one could expect for so early in the season.
