Great course in winter conditions.

Very nice course, many scenic holes. Quite a challenge from the tips, I think, but we played the middles because we are old. Winter conditions prevailed, so hard to say what normal conditions would be like. Full price is high for St. Louis area, not sure it would be a good value at full price for the average golfer because it is probably too difficult to really enjoy. It would have to be in pristine condition to warrant that price.

First Time Playing

Hilly course but generous in landing areas

Went on a Sunday afternoon with a great golf.now discount.
The pace was slow, but that was expected as the course was still wet from an all morning ran requiring cart path only.
This was my first time but for a hilly course it was well designed with minimal blind shots.
A very nice track, will plan to come back when conditions are drier.

One of the finest public courses in West County for only $14.77 (including tax) What a value!

I normally play this course during the warm months when the price is priced in the $40 range. To play at 1/3 the cost is a deal I cannot pass up. Even in the winter it is in great conditon.

Nice Round, Nice Course

The Bluffs is a nice course top to bottom. A good play during the winter, but it does have a tendency to have a few greens that never thaw out (#2) in cold weather.

Pace was ok, the course was nice. Enjoyed it.

Good for December golf

Good place to play during the winter months. Price is very affordable this time of year. Course is in good shape for this time of year, and there is nobody playing right now so 18 holes took 3 hours.

This December in St Louis and for this time of the year the course was in great condition, and the greens were smooth and puttable.

This is the first time my son has played the course and he is looking forward to coming back soon. We both really enjoyed the day and could not have asked for anything better.

Beautiful, Great Course

My first time playing the Bluffs. It has always been a course that I planned to play but waited until a great deal showed up on GolfNow ($18 with cart, GPS and range balls was the deal). Even though it was December in St Louis, the course was still in great shape. Now that I have seen it and played, I would be more than happy to pay a bit extra and see it in its full glory during the "normal" golfing months.

Mo Bluffs

As the temperature hit 75 degrees December 2nd there were a lot of golfers out. Play was a little slow but not terrible as everyone kept the pace up. The course was in incredible shape for December. Fairways and greens were immaculate.

Great early winter day and rate, some issues

I moved to California in 2001, but always love to come back to St. Louis to visit family, and to play the Missouri Bluffs golf course. It's one of the most balanced and beautiful courses in the area. GolfNow offers a great discount to the call-up rate and it served me well for this round. During a call to the course, I did ask them about any relaxed dress code rules for the winter, and was told that there was no change, and that denim was not allowed. I had not prepared for this when packing, and went out to the local Nike store to buy some clothes and informed the others in my party. When we arrived at the course, there were multiple people allowed on the course wearing denim and without collars. In addition, our two riding carts, as well as many others I saw were missing the simple GPS sensors that the Bluffs provides... but still hard to beat for $27/person for twilight.

Played on Thanksgiving, first one out & golfnow.com deal

Take all of this into account when reading this review: I was the first one out (2.5 hours for the round), got a great price since I was a single and booked through Golfnow, and it was the fall/winter when I played.
Great course, wide open and all off the par 3's are downhill. So when you look at the yardage on the card, don't get scared of the length of the par 3's. I thought the course was in great shape and the greens were in perfect condition. The bunkers and rough around the greens were in great shape, the pin placements were not too terribly tough, and tee boxes were level. My review may be biased a bit since my last memory of the course was an eagle on the final hole but I know that I will play this course again. I normally play courses around hwys 270 & 55 and along hwy 255 in IL so I usually don't get out to Chesterfield but this is now in the rotation. I would like to see this course in the summer months with the zoysia fairways or in the fall with the trees changing colors. Great views from the tee box and from the fairways to the greens.
In short, I was very impressed with the Bluffs and I am going to keep this course in my rotation.

2 putting/practice greens, nice driving range, very nice clubhouse

Course is in good shape for November. I played as a single and finished in 2 hours flat. Greens rolled true, fairways in good shape, grasses are dormant so ball rolls farther than in summer. My only complaint is that this time of year they really need to get (or use if they have one) a blower to blow the leaves off of the fairways and greens. With all of the trees that are on this course (and that is a plus) it's easy to loose a ball in the rough or even the fairway!

Only a good deal if you geat a cheap rate under $40

Don't believe them when they tell you it's in great shape. They won't tell the true conditions and if they are poor they woont refund any money. I would never pay full price to play there.

The course was in excellent shape for the late fall time frame.

The zoysia fairways were in the dormant stage at this time of year but did not pose any problems. The greens were in excellent shape and well maintained for this late into the season.

Always a good time

The Bluffs is always a good choice for a golf outing. Typically good conditions, and a great course layout. The greens are a little bumpy typically, but nothing too bad. Great driving range as well as the chipping and putting area is nicely laid out.
