Great Missouri Course
I haven't played at Missouri Bluff in years and last Sunday's round was a great day, and especially spending the time with my son. This is a true golfers course and you will need to think before you take your next shot. We were a twosome and never had to wait until we got to the 17th hole - backed up a bit by a threesome, but they saw us and picked up their pace. The course was in excellent condition, and even the practice range was well groomed. Worth the drive.
Very nice course but slow
The course is in nice shape and is a good test of golf. The practice facilities are also good. The layout is a little trumped up and the par threes all look the same. The biggest issue is slow play. Due to the challenging layout, (hills and woods) play tends to be very slow which negates the quality experience of the course. Not unlike many courses, there are no marshalls so you are left to the devices of the quality of etiquette and quality of the players in front of you.
Wet but fun
Some truly great holes with fun par 3's!! Played it after a storm and still had a blast
Generally very good course
Course is generally in very good shape. Bunkers are just a step above horrible, very thin sand layer mostly packed dirt/clay.
Great Course!
First time playing this track and I was much impressed. Will plan to play again when in the St Louis area.
Great Venue
This course had fantastic fairways and the greens were very receptive to the ball. Best place I have played in Missouri this year.
Awesome course playing very tough, Greens are challenging.
Awesome course playing very tough, Greens are challenging.
Course is in very nice shape. Fairways needed to be cut. Greens were fast.
Overall it is a great value if you can get a round under $50. The only thing I didn't like was that the greens are very hard to read and the pin placements were a bit tough on some of the holes. The greens really needed to be rolled as some were not rolling true and bounced a bit.
I 3-jacked more holes on this course than any other I have played this year, and it is not because I am a bad putter.
Super Round
We teed it up around 540PM on a day that looked like it would rain some more and ended up playing 18 holes in 2.5 hours (for a twosome). A fun course especially from the tips and well manicured. Pro Shop folks were very friendly and accomodating. The bar/grill woman could use some coaching. All in All - A Super Round!
Great Course and Staff
My wife and I played on a Saturday afternoon. We had a wonderful time and the course was in great condition. The staff treated us very well - a country club atmosphere. Range balls came with the greens fees.
Impressive course
I had heard many good things about this course and it lived up to expectations. Staff was very friendly. Course was in great shape especially with large amount of play. It was a little slow, but it was jammed the day I played. Great challenge, memorable holes, awesome elevation changes. Only negatives, should be more water available to drink on the course and a second beverage cart would be a smart addition.
Very nice, but challenging, course
Stunning layouts on several holes with premium on shot placement.
Fantastic course for the money!
Playing this course for $29.00 plus fees is a no-brainer. It's always in great shape and the staff/starters are always friendly and knowledgeable. I've played five different courses through Golf Now and although they are always good deals, this one has been the best so far.
Great golf course in great shape
The Bluffs is among the best courses in the St. Louis area.
zoysia fairways in great shape, the ball sits up nicely.
tee boxes are in great condition. The greens are large, very smooth, not many bad ball marks. There are enough tee boxes to make a good challenge for any level player. Always see some wildlife on the course, deer, sometimes foxes, (heard but didn't see a rattlesnake there once), and no houses around to spoil the view. There are lots of marked sprinkler heads so figuring distances is not a chore, and most of the holes have visible yardage markers from the tee boxes. If you spray the ball around a lot, bring plenty of balls. My only complaint-played on a hot Sunday afternoon, and would have liked to see more cold water jugs to stay hydrated (had one on #3, #5 which was empty, #12 and #16. The clubhouse people were very helpful and polite. If you haven't played the Bluffs and you love golf, you need to get there.
Bunkers need attention. Wonderful layout and scenery
Unfortunately bunkers and traps were in poor condition. Not up to par for the rest of the course. Unraked and hard packed mud/sand found on many of the regions courses. Not what I would hope and expect to find on one of the areas best courses and layout. Very slow and unmonitored play by any marshall.
Great course, bad bunkers
I would recommend this course to a freind because it is very well maintained. It has big beautiful greens that are easy to hit and tough to putt. BUT, for a course this caliber at this pricepoint, the bunkers need some work. This sand is great for your two year old but needs to be left on the playground.
Not the same value as it used to be.
GPS has been removed from the carts and without great yardage markers on the course, difficult at times to determine yardages. Several bunkers are in need of major repair, several tee boxes have sparse grass. Speed of the greens was inconsistent. I think the value for the dollar is not what it used to be.
the bluffs
Tough course bit fair from blue teesgreens r well maintained and fairwais in good condition. Would recomend to my friends green fees a little high but fun overall
Very challenging from tips. Black tees
I only rate it at 4 stars because are 2 some was grouped with two singles who played from different tees( black vs blue/white). Which slowed pace of play down. No offense to them but the starter knew we played fast and long. Not short and slow. While we're young.
